Base Class: Blood Hunter
The Order of the Vengeant is a loose collection of vigilantes who seek justice for themselves and others. Joining the Order requires a painful illusory reliving of their tragedy, resulting in the formation of a resolute determination. Members of the Order rarely work together, but they will share information and exchange knowledge to help other members of the Order. Given the often loner nature of members of the Order, they have learned rites and blood curses to help them survive on their own as they seek out their targets.
Rite of Retribution
When you join this order at 3rd level, you learn the Rite of Retribution as part of your Crimson Rite feature. You activate the Rite of Retribution by drawing your own blood with a weapon on which you have an active Crimson Rite. You take damage equal to one hemocraft die. On your next hit with the weapon, it deals damage equal to double your hemocraft die. The rite is then expended. The extra damage of the Rite of Retribution is either Acid or Poison.
Curse Specialist
Starting at 3rd level, you learn to master blood curses. You gain an additional use of your Blood Maledict feature.
Brand of Justice
Upon reaching 7th level, you can cast Compelled Duel. Once you use this feature, you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again.
Rite of Life Blood
Whenever you hit a creature with a weapon for which you have an active crimson rite, you regain hit points equal to your hemocraft die.
Blood Curse of the Quarry
At 15th level, you gain Blood Curse of the Quarry as a Blood Maledict. Blood Curse of the Quarry casts Slow upon one enemy you can see within 60’. Your target subtracts your hemocraft die from its saving throw.
Amplify – Your Blood Curse of the Quarry affects up to four targets that you can see within 60’.
Life Syphon
Upon reaching 18th level, you are able to absorb the blood of those around you. Once per Long Rest, you drain the blood of all living things around you. All creatures within 30’ of you take 3d6 damage as their blood is pulled from their bodies and flows into your lifeforce. You regain hit points equal to the damage dealt.
