Unlike the traditional orders of paladins held to strict codes and hierarchies, paladins who take the Oath of Fortune embody a more free-spirited approach to their devotion, often finding paths less trodden in their quest for balance. These champions of fortune, while known to travel alone or as part of eclectic adventuring parties, are united by their commitment to spreading luck and opportunity in a world shadowed by darkness. Commonly viewed as reckless by their more disciplined paladin counterparts, those who take this oath embrace spontaneity and heroic deeds, believing that true fortune favors those bold enough to seize the day. Serving as protectors of the common folk, these paladins charge into battle against the forces of evil, embodying the spirit of risk and reward.
Paladins who follow the Oath of Fortune adhere to four primary tenets that shape their actions and guide their destinies.
Embrace the Uncertain: All outcomes are unpredictable; embrace this uncertainty with open arms. Every challenge is an opportunity for growth, so face the unknown with confidence.
Fortune Favors the Bold: Take risks and act decisively! Inaction breeds missed opportunities. Let courage be your guide as you carve your destiny.
Share Your Luck: Fortune is not solely for oneself; share your good fortune with others, empowering them to grasp their own destiny. The rewards of camaraderie and generosity will come back to you in moments of need.
Balance of Chance: Recognize that luck can be fickle. Prepare for the uncertainties that lie ahead and remember that sometimes, the unlikeliest outcome can lead to greater opportunities.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Luck of the Draw: As an action, you can present your holy symbol and call upon Tymora’s favour to bestow good fortune upon a creature within 30 feet. The target gains advantage on its next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw before the end of its next turn.
One Shot in a Million: When you score a critical hit, you can use your Channel Divinity to triple your weapon damage dice instead of doubling it.
When you use your Channel Divinity, you choose which option to use.
You must then finish a short or long rest to use our Channel Divinity again.

Aura of Fortune
Starting at 7th level, you emanate an aura of fortune in a 10-foot radius. Whenever you or allies within this aura make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, roll a d6 and add the result as a bonus to the roll. This aura empowers your companions with the Lady of Luck’s favor, ensuring that they are more likely to succeed in their endeavors.
Improved Luck
At 15th level, your connection to fortune deepens. When rolling for initiative, you can choose to roll twice and take the higher result. Additionally, once per long rest, as a reaction, you can grant a creature within 30 feet a reroll on a failed saving throw, allowing them a second chance against fate.
Avatar of Fortune
At 20th level, you become a living embodiment of luck and opportunity. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed, and you can hover.
- You have advantage on all attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws.
- When an ally within 30 feet rolls the same result as you on an attack roll or saving throw, they can choose to reroll that roll and take the new result.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
