Level 3: Twin Weapon Training

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you can wield two-handed weapons with one hand, ignoring the Two-Handed and Heavy properties for wielding purposes. Attacks with any weapon in your off hand-other than Light weapons are made with disadvantage (unless you have the Dual Wielder feat) and you do not add your Dexterity or Strength modifier to the damage of this attack (unless you have the Two-Weapon Fighting style).

Level 7: Twin Blade Mastery

At 7th level, you begin to refine the balance of wielding two massive weapons. When you take the Attack action and attack with any weapon, you can make a single off-hand attack as part of the same action. Additionally, when you make an attack with your off-hand weapon, you add a +2 bonus to the damage roll.

You can use your intimidating presence to unsettle enemies. Once per short rest, you can use your bonus action to force a creature within 10 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier). On a failed save, the creature is frightened of you until the start of your next turn.

Level 10: Momentum of the Twin Blades

At 10th level, you learn to use the force and weight of your twin weapons to your advantage. When you make an attack with a two-handed weapon, you can use your bonus action to attempt to disarm, shove, or trip a target within reach. You gain advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks for these maneuvers.

Your reputation as a fearsome twin-blade warrior precedes you. You gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill, and if you already have proficiency, you can add double your proficiency bonus to Intimidation checks when attempting to scare or demoralize a foe, you may use your Strength or Charisma modifier for this check.

Level 15: Unstoppable Force

At 15th level, your expertise with wielding two massive weapons allows you to unleash a devastating, unstoppable assault that can break through the most formidable defenses.

  • Powerful Strike: When you hit with an attack using your off-hand weapon, you can choose to push through the target's defenses with overwhelming force. You can add an additional 2d6 damage to the attack. However, if you do, you suffer a temporary weakness: until the start of your next turn, your movement speed is halved, you have disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws as the sheer force of your strike leaves you slightly unbalanced, and your AC is reduced by 2.

  • Forceful Defense: Your mastery over twin blades allows you to deflect attacks and redirect momentum. When a creature hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to attempt to deflect or redirect the strike. Make a Strength (Athletics) check against a DC equal to the attack roll. On a success, you can reduce the damage by half and push the attacker 5 feet away from you. This feature can be used a number of times equal to your Strength modifier (minimum of 1), and you regain all expended uses after a short or long rest.

Level 18: Twin Blade Fury

At 18th level, your twin blades become an unstoppable force, allowing you to strike with unparalleled speed and power. The fury of your attacks overwhelms your enemies, but the effort required takes a heavy toll on your body and mind.

  • Twin Blade Onslaught: When you take the Attack action and attack with your primary two-handed weapon, you can use your bonus action to make an attack with your off-hand weapon and an additional attack with your primary weapon. These attacks are made with advantage, and both the off-hand and main-hand attacks deal an additional roll of the weapons' damage dice.

  • Fury's Toll: After using Twin Blade Onslaught, you gain one level of exhaustion. If you choose to use this feature again before completing a long rest, you gain an additional level of exhaustion. Each time you use this feature, the exhaustion stacks. You cannot use Twin Blade Onslaught if doing so would cause you to gain a level of exhaustion that would incapacitate you (i.e., after 5 levels of exhaustion).
