Warlock Patron: The Grandmother v2.1

This is basically "the Mother" warlock patron with the wording changed to make your character's grandmother their patron. 

You have made a pact with your grandmother, promising to stay out of harm's way and to visit soon. This pact is a unique one, born out of the pure and unfaltering love a grandmother has for her grandchild. Your grandmother may be far away, or see you regularly, but always is prepared to dote on you and assist you any way she can. Grandmothers delight in raising & encouraging their grandchildren to be their best selves. Though her commands may sometimes inscrutable, difficult, or downright frustrating, you know she has your best interests at heart. Patrons of this sort include almost exclusively powerful women.  

Granny's Favourite

 Starting at 1st level, your grandmother's guidance always comes in handy at the right moment. When you would roll an ability check or saving throw, you can choose to replace the value with 10+ your spellcasting ability modifier (minimum of 1). You must do this before rolling the die.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest. 

Expanded Spell List

The Grandmother grants you the knowledge of certain spells to ensure your safety on your journeys.

Barrier of Love

Your grandmother has such faith in your safe return that death itself hesitates to touch you. Starting from 6th level, if you would make a death saving throw, you may choose instead to gain 1 hitpoint, stand up, and gain a temporary bonus to your AC equal to your spellcasting ability modifier. This bonus disappears the next time you take damage, fall unconcious, or take a short or long rest. 

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest. 

Go Ask Grandma

At 10th level, your connection with your grandmother strengthens enough to make intermittent contact at any distance. You may cast the commune spell once per long rest without consuming a spell slot. You may only contact your grandmother using this feature. 

In addition, you gain resistance to cold damage and proficiency with winter weather clothing.

When Clouds Are Grey

At 14th level, your grandmother's love for you manifests itself even more powerfully. You may use the Granny's Favourite and Barrier of Love features an additional time per short or long rest, and your grandmother is able to communicate longer sentences through the commune spell up to 25 words per question. 

When you are revived through the Barrier of Love feature, you may choose any number of creatures adjacent to you. Those creatures must make a Strength saving throw aagainst your spell save DC or be pushed back 10 feet as your resolve to see your grandmother again is solidified.
