Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Some pursue greatness, but you demand perfection. Every action is calculated, every movement refined, every opportunity flawless. You do not act unless the moment is optimal, and any mistake must be corrected immediately. Through relentless self-discipline, you have unlocked a method of combat that rewards precision and punishes missteps—a delicate balance between perfection and failure.

No Mistakes

You refuse to accept imperfection in your technique. Every strike you make is executed with meticulous precision.

  • When you roll Sneak Attack damage, you can reroll any 1s, but you must use the new result.

Spiral

Perfection is a fragile thing—one misstep can send you spiraling.

  • When you succeed on an attack roll or ability check, you gain a Perfected Die (d4) and can add it to future attack rolls and ability checks.

  • Further successes increase its size (d6 → d8, max d8 at this level, max d10 at 9th level, max d12 at 17th level). The maximum you can get from ability checks is a d4.

  • When you fail, your Perfected Die becomes a Flawed Die of the same size, which you must subtract from attack rolls and ability checks.

  • Each success reduces the Flawed Die by two sizes. Each failure reduces it by one size.

  • When the Flawed Die reaches 0, it disappears, and you can begin regaining perfection.

  • Your Spiral resets after a long rest, removing any Perfected or Flawed Dice.

Corrective Action

You do not tolerate mistakes—especially from those who rely on you. When an ally falters, you guide them to perfection, though failure has its cost.

  • As a reaction, when an ally within 30 feet makes an attack roll or ability check, you can grant them your Perfected Die.

  • If they succeed, you keep your Perfected Die.

  • If they fail, your Perfected Die becomes a Flawed Die of the same size.

  • You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses on a long rest.

Perfect Precision

Your mastery over combat reaches new heights, allowing you to refine even the deadliest of strikes.

  • If your Perfected Die is above a d6, your Sneak Attack dice match its size (e.g., 5d6 → 5d8 or 5d10).

  • Flawed Die does not affect Sneak Attack, but it reduces it back to d6.

Overwork

You have reached the pinnacle of control. The battlefield bends to your will, and even failure itself must be overcome.

  • While you hold a Perfected Die, you have advantage on initiative rolls, and your movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.

  • Once per long rest, when you would lose your Perfected Die due to failure, you can choose to keep it instead.

    • If you do, you immediately gain one level of exhaustion.

    • You cannot use this ability if you are already exhausted.
