Rare and enigmatic, the Oath of Dreamborne Grace is not taught—it is awakened. Only those who have truly walked the line between nightmare and reverie, who have felt the whisper of Yun’s presence in the deepest of slumbers, may be chosen. These paladins are vessels of her will: veiled, enchanting, and quietly terrifying. Their oath is not recited aloud; it is breathed into their spirit by moonlight and shadow.

Dreamborne paladins are rarely seen and even less understood. Where they tread, awe and dread follow. They command not through authority, but through desire and fear—beautiful, unknowable, and unstoppable. Their presence alone is a question that no one dares answer.

To meet one is to question what is real, and to dream of them afterward is to know you never truly woke up.

Tenets of Dreamborne Grace

Sworn to Yun, paladins of this oath follow tenets that balance charm, dread, and grace. Select those that best suit your interpretation—some are flirtatious and easy to roleplay, others more mysterious and commanding.

Wink and Wound. A smile opens more doors than a sword—but you carry both. Let your beauty disarm and your charm control. Strike only when their heart is open.

The Still Mask. Let no one see all of you. Remain elegant, enigmatic, and unpredictable. Your mystery is your shield—and your blade.

Rule Through Reverie. It is better to be worshipped than obeyed. Inspire devotion, desire, and awe. Lead by drawing others into your dream.

Silver in the Silence. Not all power shouts. Some simply waits. Speak less. Let your gaze carry weight. Let your silence command.

Beauty is Not Mercy. Softness is not kindness. Grace is not forgiveness. Wield elegance like a weapon. Deliver judgment with terrible poise.

 

Level 3: Oath of Dreamborn Grace

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Level 3: Veil of the Dread

Channel Divinity

As an action, you cloak yourself in Yun’s twilight presence. Choose one creature within 30 feet. It must make a Wisdom saving throw or be both charmed and  frightened by you for 1 minute. While affected, it cannot willingly move away from you or closer to you. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success. Once it succeeds, it is immune for 24 hours.

Eyes of the Moonlit Veil
At 13th Level, as a bonus action, your eyes shimmer with Yun's silver light for 1 minute:

  • You gain truesight out to 30 feet.

  • When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, it must succeed on a Charisma saving throw or be glamoured. Until the end of your next turn, the creature treats you as a trusted figure and cannot use reactions. You have advantage on Charisma checks against it during this time.

 

Level 7: Aura of Dread and Desire

At 7th level, you emit an aura of unsettling charm. Creatures of your choice that start their turn within 10 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw:

  • If their Wisdom is 12 or lower, they are frightened of you.

  • If their Wisdom is 13 or higher, they are charmed, unable to target you with attacks or spells.

Additionally, charmed targets have a -2 penalty to saving throws against enchantment effects.
At 18th level, this aura extends to 30 feet.

Level 15: Moon’s Shadowblade

You strike with a blend of beauty and dread.

  • Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, deal an extra 2d8 radiant damage or psychic damage (your choice).

  • If the target is charmed or frightened, deal 4d8 instead. The target must also succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be blinded and silenced (unable to speak or cast spells with verbal components) until the end of its next turn.

You gain resistance to piercing damage, slashing damage, radiant damage, and psychic damage, and you are immune to the charmed and frightened conditions.

Level 20: Avatar of Yun

As an action, you become a living embodiment of Yun’s divine presence for 1 minute:

  • You emit a 30-foot aura of moonlight. This aura acts as the moonbeam spell, centered on you, moving with you. It reveals shape-shifters, forcing them to revert to their true form if they fail a Constitution saving throw when they start their turn in the aura.

  • Hostile creatures in the aura have disadvantage on saving throws against charm and fear. If they are affected, their speed is halved.

  • You can teleport up to 30 feet as a bonus action, leaving behind silver shimmer and petals.

  • Your weapon attacks deal an additional 2d10 radiant damage and ignore resistance to radiant and psychic damage. If the target is charmed or frightened, this increases to 4d10 radiant damage.

  • When a creature fails a saving throw against one of your charm or fear effects, it is also paralyzed until the end of its next turn.

  • While this form is active, you gain resistance to all damage types.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
