Base Class: Bard

A Blue Wizard is a curious soul who want to harness the power of beasts. They have an iconic Blue uniform with flowing silks and unique embroided designs of beasts and monstrosities cleverly worked through them. Although very similar to each other the patterns on them are not and are unique is every Blue Wizard. 

Be it the power of a dragon's breath, the climbing ability of a spider or the strength of a bear. Blue mages are both lore keepers and bestial warriors fascinated by raw power of monsters and nature alike. Through observation and study and combat they travel the world to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the natural and unnatural world. There spell lists often revolve around emulating monster abilities or enhancing their own physical attributes in battle. They iconically are very skilled at the sword and often perform daring displays of sword dancing and acrobatics to delight the crowds wherever they go. 

Level 3: Sword of the Blue Mage

While you aren’t wearing armor or wielding a Shield, you gain the following benefits. 

Blade Master. Blue Wizards gain proficiency in Scimitars, Shortswords, Longswords and Rapiers.

Unarmored Defense. When the Blue Wizard is devoid of armour or a shield it's base Armor Class equals 10 plus your Dexterity and Charisma modifiers. 

Additional Spells. The blue mage has additional spells added to his bard spell choices which include Alter Self, Animal friendship, Animal messenger, Animal shapes, Charm monster, Conjure Animals, Locate Animals or Plants and Speak with Animals. 

Beastial Knowledge. Choose a skill from the Druid class choices which represents your research into your Beast within.

 

Level 3: Libra

As a bonus action you can make a Study Action to make an investigation check or Survival Check DC10 + CR of a creature you can see within 60 feet of you to learn a single bit of knowledge about the creature: Choose one of the following to learn: Immunities, resistances, vulnerabilities, AC, Current HP, HD Level or any other special ability

Level 6: Visage of the beast with extra natural attack

You can cast Alter self a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (at least once) which restore on a long rest. It also counts as one of your bard spells which you always have prepared. When you take the attack action you can make an additional attack with Natural weapons from this spell as part of the attack action. The damage though instead of 1d6 is equal to your bardic inspiration dice. You can also substitute your weapon attack with a cantrip with a casting time of an action as one of those attacks. Your natural weapon through Alther Self is also considered a finesse weapon and light.

Level 14: Azure Corruption

Your body's physiology has been affected by the monstrous energies you have absorbed. Your body has developed natural resistances to one damage type from the following: Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, Poison or Thunder. Additionally you gain proficiency in Strength saving throws to reflect the monstrous enhancements to your body.
