Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Sacrifice is sworn to the ideals of the betterment of the world around them. Most Paladins who take this oath upon themselves are not strictly loyal to nations, churches, or kings, or even necessarily to their own gods, but to the people whom they serve. These paladins dedicate themselves to spreading goodness and compassion, defending the weak and relieving the suffering, bringing light to the world through kindness and good deeds, especially those that do not need a blade to be drawn. Most paladins who swear this oath are devout followers of Ilmater, but members of their ranks hail from countless faiths across the Realms.
Tenets of Sacrifice
Compassion: All beings are capable of doing good if shown the right level of empathy. Even those who refuse to change should not be hated, though neither should they be allowed to continue to commit evil.
Service: Chances to serve are sacred gifts from the gods, opportunities to better ourselves, and the realms around us.
Peace: To fight should always be a last resort. Peace is a virtue; all we do inspires peace.
Death: Death is a natural part of life, both our death and the deaths of those around us. To value the life of any being over the preservation of the world around us is folly.

Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Cloak of Oblation. As an action, you raise your holy symbol and utter a plea for protection. Using this effect grants you and all friendly creatures within 30 feet of you Temp HP equal 1d8 + your Charisma modifier.
Soothe the Suffering. As an action, you present your holy symbol and speak a prayer calling for forgiveness and healing. You and all creatures you choose that you can see and are within 30 feet of you are cured of poison, disease, and the effects of being magically charmed, frightened, or cursed.
Aura of the Martyr
Starting at 7th level, you can use harm dealt to you as a way to aid those around you. So long as you are not incapacitated, the first time you take damage each round in combat, each friendly creature (except you) within 10 feet of you restores HP equal to 1d4 + your Charisma modifier.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Hallowed Libation
Starting at 15th level, your spilled blood may be used to benefit the weary. After taking damage in combat, you may use a charge from this subclass feature to add HP to your Lay on Hands pool equal to half the damage taken, rounded up.
This feature has a number of charges equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and refreshes on Long Rest.
Succoring Envoy
Starting at 20th level, as an action, you can manifest a powerful spirit to aid you in your acts of service. For 1 minute, or until you are incapacitated, a spectral Couatl hovers just behind you. This creature cannot be targeted by attacks or effects or take actions of its own, instead following directly behind you for as long as the effect remains. For the duration of the effect, you gain the following bonuses.
- You can take the help action as a bonus action.
- Creatures affected by your Channel Divinity: Cloak of Oblation or Channel Divinity: Soothe the Suffering restore health equal to 2d8 + your Charisma modifier.
- Spells that do not deal damage or have a saving throw can target one additional creature.
This feature can be used a single time, with its use being refreshed after taking a long rest.
