Base Class: Artificer
Magipunk. The name given to artificers who have taken that extra step to infuse their very being with the magical equipment they create. With their bodies gradually becoming more construct than flesh, they constantly seek new ways to improve on their form.
Augmented Spells
Starting at 3rd level, you learn how to augment your mind with the knowledge from various scrolls.
You may spend 8 hours analyzing a level 1 or lower spell scroll. This process destroys the spell scroll being analyzed. At the end of this process, add the spell to your list of prepared spells, regardless of whether it is on the Artificer Spell List or not. You always have that spell prepared. It counts as an artificer spell for you, but doesn't count against the number of artificer spells you prepare. You can only analyze one spell this way - if you analyze another, you must chose a previously analyzed spell to remove from your list of prepared spells.
Starting at level 5, you may now analyze level 2 or lower spell scrolls. At level 9, you may analyze level 3 or lower spell scrolls, and may use this feature to analyze and prepare 2 spells at a time instead of 1. At level 13, you may analyze level 4 or lower spell scrolls. At level 17, you may analyze level 5 or lower spell scrolls, and may use this feature to analyze and prepare 3 spells at a time instead of 2.
Tools of the Trade
When you adopt this specialization at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with heavy armor. You also gain proficiency with smith's tools. If you already have this tool proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan's tools of your choice.
Some Modification Required
Starting at level 3, you become unable to attune to magic items other than items you create through your Artificer Infusions, or Augment Modules. To create an Augment Module, you must spend 8 hours disassembling two or more non-consumable, non artificer infusion magic items that require attunement, destroying them permanently. The Augment Module created takes on the rarity of the lowest rarity among the disassembled items. In order to disassemble an item, you must meet all other requirements needed to attune to it, other than this features restriction. Permanently record all items disassembled as Analyzed Items. Augment Modules can only attuned to by the creature who created them, and are destroyed if they are off of the creators' person for more than 24 hours. Unlike other magic items, you can be attuned to multiple of the same augment.
Perfect Replication
Starting at level 3, as a bonus action you may choose one of your Augment Modules that you are attuned to that currently does not have an effect, and an Analyzed Item that is equal to or lower than it's rarity. The Augment Module takes on the qualities of that magic item until your next long rest. If it is a weapon, it replaces one of your hands while unsheathed. If it's an armor, it transforms your skin to match that kind of armor. If the item has charges that can be regained in some way, the item starts with all of its charges. Otherwise, it has none. Once you duplicate a Analyzed Items effects with this feature, you cannot duplicate that item's effect again until you finish a long rest.
Extra Attack
Starting at 5th level, you can attack twice, rather than once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Quick Reboot
Starting at level 9, you learn how to quickly reverse your Augments back to their base state. As a bonus action, spend a spell slot determined by the item your targeted Augment is currently copying. (Common- level 1. Uncommon- level 2. Rare - level 3. Very rare- level 4. Legendary- level 5.) That Augment loses its effects. You may immediately choose another item for that Augment to take the effects of, following the conditions from Perfect Replication.
Full Magipunk
You have infused yourself to the point where you barely resemble a humanoid. Starting at level 15, replace your creature type with Construct. Additionally, your maximum hit points increase by 10 for each Augment Module you are attuned to that currently has no effect. Add 2 to your damage rolls for every module you are attuned to that currently has an effect.
