Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

The Detective uses their logic and deduction to identify threats, uncover mysteries, and locate villains. Their greatest asset is their perceptiveness, which enables them to find clues others miss and work out the motivations of their enemies and predict their next moves. Detectives excel in tracking down and ambushing wrong doers. When forced to fight, they fight smart - identifying their opponent's weaknesses and exploiting them - rather than relying on brute strength.

Detectives can either be private mercenaries or bounty hunters or work for a settlement's guards, some even originate as journalists. Most commonly, detectives become adventurers after becoming embroiled in a villainous plot too big for their current assignment, or by becoming obsessed with an evil doer that has personally harmed them. A few come to the life after a justified or unjustified dismissal or forced retirement.
