 Soul Knights, through various means. Have learned to create blades of pure light to smite their foes. While a Soul Knight may be a holy warrior, who manifested their blades through prayer, meditation and faith. Other Soul Knights manifest their blades, through through physical training, in addition to meditation.  For these Paladins, each order of Soul Knights has it's own set of tenets. But generally Soul Knights align with the forces of good.

Tenets: Protect the weak. Oppose and defeat evil and the unjust. Become a beacon of hope. 

                                                                                                                                     

 

Soul Blades

Soul Blades: At level 3, The Soul Knight gains the ability manifest a blade of light. No action required. The soul blade takes the form of any one-handed, melee weapon. And has the light, finesse, and throwing properties. With a throwing range of 60 feet throwing, and no long range. The blade deals 1d8 radiant damage, and add normally adds your charisma modifier to attack and damage rolls. When you throw the soul blades, they vanish on a hit or a miss. They also vanish if you’re incapacitated.  

Additionally, the soul blade provides you with a light. And sheds 10 feet of bright light and a further 10 feet of dim light.

Dual wielder style.

When the Soul Knight takes his/ or her oath, they learn the dual wielder style. And can manifest two soul blades, instead of one. No action required. The Soul Knight must have both hands free, in order to wield them. And the light emanation radius doubles, while wielding two soul blades. Additionally, the Soul Knight gains the two weapon fighting style, when wielding their Soul Blades.

As a bonus action, you can make an additional attack, with your off -hand soul blade. This attack deals 1d6 radiant damage, plus your ability modifier

Unarmored Defense

At level 3, while not wear armor. The Soul Knight has an AC equal to 10, plus their Dexterity and Constitution modifiers. And they can use a shield and still gain this benefit.

Improved Soul Blades

At level 7, the Soul Knights soul blades improve. You gain a +1 to attack and damage rolls, while attacking with your soul blades. Additionally, while wielding a soul blade, you have a +1 to AC.

Greater Soul Blades

At level 15. The Soul Knight's, soul blades improve further. The attack and damage bonus increase to +2.

Greater Smite

 

 Upon reaching level 20, as bonus action. You can transform into a conduit of divine power. And for one minute gain the following benefits.

  • While wielding a soul blade, the extra damage, from the Improved Divine Smite class feature, increases to a d10.   
  • Additionally, once on your turn, when you perform a Divine Smite. Your Divine Smite damage dice is enhanced to d10s.

This form ends early, if your incapacitated, you die or you dismiss the effect, (No action require) Once you use this ability. You must finish a long rest before you can use this ability again. Unless you spend a level 5 spell slot to use this ability gain.
