Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

The Goliaths of the high cliffs and broken badlands speak in reverent tones of the Stone Scribed warriors who etch sacred glyphs into their flesh, armour, or weapons. These glyphs, passed down through myth and war-song, are said to be the language of the mountain itself old magic rediscovered on weather-worn stones and the remnants of shattered titans.

You are one of them.

Whether branded in ritual or carved by your own hand, these runes respond to your rage with power. Some see it as the ancestors speaking through you. Others whisper that the symbols are older than the Goliaths themselves—relics of a forgotten war. You don't know the truth, and maybe you don’t care. But you do know this:

When your blood burns, the runes shine. When the roar of combat surrounds you, something within answers the call.

Runemarked Body

You gain access to Battle Glyphs, ancient runes passed down through Goliath oral tradition and stonework. These symbols are carved, branded, or inked into your armor, weapons, or skin. Each glyph channels mystical forces from forgotten wars, now honored as tribal magic.

You learn two glyphs of your choice from the Battle Glyph list. You learn another at 7th, 10th, and 15th level, for a total of five. Each glyph can be activated once per long rest, unless stated otherwise.

Unbound Form

When you rage, you can enter your Unbound Form, physically transforming under the strain of your own power.

You may grow one size category larger, to a maximum of Large, if space allows. If you lack the room to become Large, your size doesn't change. This increase affects you and anything you are wearing.

Your reach increases by 5 feet.

Once per turn, when you hit with a melee weapon attack, you deal bonus damage equal to your Rage bonus plus your proficiency bonus.

The ground around you scorches in a 10-foot radius, becoming difficult terrain for enemies until the start of your next turn.

While in Unbound Form, you have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. All expended uses return when you finish a long rest.

Glyph-Fueled Strikes

While raging, you can make two attacks when you take the Attack action on your turn, instead of one.

If you already have the Extra Attack feature from another source, this feature does not grant additional attacks.

When using this feature while in your Unbound Form, your strikes leave faint glowing traces in the air, as if the runes themselves guide your hand.

Relic Instincts

You learn to harness your runes as extensions of instinct.

You may activate one glyph per short rest without expending its use.

When you use Reckless Attack, you can activate a Battle Glyph as part of that attack.

You gain advantage on initiative rolls unless you are surprised.

Avatar of the Glyph

Once per long rest, when you rage, you may enter a state of heightened ancestral power for one minute.

You are automatically placed in your Unbound Form, even if you have no uses remaining.

You deal an extra 1d10 force damage on all melee weapon attacks.

When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, the ground within 10 feet becomes charged terrain. It is difficult terrain for enemies, and allies gain a plus 2 bonus to saving throws while standing within it.

You can reroll one failed saving throw per turn while this feature is active.

When your rage ends, the runes on your body flicker and cool, but a faint glow remains, as if something beneath is still watching.
