Base Class: Barbarian
Your rage is more than fury it's instinct. A deep, ancient predator slumbers within you, and when you call upon it, you transform into something more than mortal. Your muscles tighten, your senses sharpen, and your body takes on the terrifying traits of beasts long feared and revered. With time, you awaken this bestial spirit fully, becoming the apex predator on any battlefield.
Primal Awakening
3rd-level Path of the Primal Fang feature
Predatory Presence: You gain the following benefits while raging:
- Advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks.
- Darkvision out to 60 feet. If you already have darkvision, its range increases by 60 feet while raging.
Primal Claws: While raging, your fingers elongate into razor-sharp claws, becoming natural melee weapons. You are proficient with your claw attacks, which deal 1d6 slashing damage and count as melee weapon attacks. They are considered magical for overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. Once on each of your turns when you attack with a claw using the Attack action, you can make one additional claw attack as part of the same action. While your Primal Claws are active, you cannot wield a shield.
At 10th level, this damage increases to 1d8. At 14th level, it increases to 1d10.
Partial Bestial Transformation
6th-level Path of the Primal Fang feature
Beastform Surge: As you enter your rage, coarse black fur spreads across your body, a dark mane flares from your shoulders, and your eyes blaze amber as you become a lion-like hybrid radiating primal fury and dominance. For the duration of your rage:
- Your Strength score increases by +2 (up to a maximum of 24).
- Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
Feral Agility: While raging, you can Dash as a bonus action. When you Dash, your jump distance is doubled, and you can move through non-hostile creatures’ spaces without penalty.

- Resistance to all damage except psychic.
- Temporary hit points equal to your Barbarian level.
- Once per turn, when you hit with a melee weapon or claw attack, you deal extra damage equal to your Strength modifier (minimum +1).
You can use Survivor’s Surge once per rage.
Full Bestial Transformation
14th-level Path of the Primal Fang feature
Alpha Transformation: Once per long rest, as a bonus action while raging, you unleash your full beast within as your body morphs into a towering lion-like monstrosity cloaked in jet-black fur and crowned with a roaring mane, your eyes burning gold as you embody the apex of primal wrath for 1 minute:
- Your Strength increases by +4 (to a maximum of 26).
- Your melee weapon and claw attacks deal an additional 2d8 damage.
- Your melee weapon and claw attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.
- As a bonus action during this transformation, you can unleash a terrifying roar. Each enemy within 30 feet that can hear you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus) or be frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
After the transformation ends, your rage continues but you lose the benefits of Alpha Transformation until you finish a long rest.
