Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Chakra Flow have mastered the hidden currents of life energy that flow through all living beings. Through intense training and spiritual discipline, they learn to perceive and manipulate these invisible pathways—disrupting foes with pinpoint strikes, binding them with glowing chains of chakra, and defending themselves with near-supernatural awareness. Some are born with awakened bloodlines or ancient spirits sealed within, granting them explosive bursts of power when pushed to the edge. These monks are graceful, precise, and terrifying when their inner storm is unleashed.

Level 3: Gentle Fist

Whenever you hit a creature with an attack granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can impose one of the following effects on that target.

Addle. The creature has disadvantage on its next attack roll or saving throw, representing their chakra being briefly thrown out of balance.

Disrupt. The target can’t make [action]reactions until the start of its next turn.

Topple. The target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or have the Prone condition.

Level 6: Chakra Chains

  • The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or become restrained by the chains for up to 1 minute.

  • The creature can use its action each turn to attempt a Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check against your DC to break free.

  • The chains are considered magical and glow with your chakra, and are visible to creatures with magic-sensing abilities (or ki).

Level 11: Byakugan Awakened

  • Chakra Sight: You gain 120 feet of chakra sight. You can see through magical darkness and walls, but only as long as they are no more than 2 feet thick. This vision allows you to see creatures and objects as if they were glowing with their own chakra, letting you see through walls, fog, and most types of obscuration.

  • True Chakra Sight (1 ki point): As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point to enter True Chakra Sight for 1 minute. During this time, you can:

    • See creatures even if they are invisible or hidden from normal sight, so long as they are within 120 feet.

    • Gain advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Wisdom (Insight) checks related to detecting magical effects, illusions, or shape changers.

    • Detect if a creature is concentrating on a spell or using magic to alter their form.

  • Chakra Detection: You can sense the presence of living creatures (or creatures with ki) within 60 feet of you, even if they are hidden. You can't identify them by name, but you can sense their general location and whether they are hostile or friendly.

Level 17: Chakra Beast Unleashed

While in this state, you gain the following benefits:

  • Chakra Surge: You gain temporary hit points equal to 5 × your Monk level. These temporary hit points last until the Chakra Beast Unleashed ends or until they are depleted.

  • Unleashed Strikes: Your unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d8 radiant or fire damage (choose when you enter the state).

  • Enhanced Reflexes: You have advantage on Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution saving throws, as the chakra infuses you with extraordinary resilience.

  • Beast's Will: Once during this transformation, if you would be reduced to 0 HP, you can make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a success, you drop to 1 HP instead and the transformation ends.

  • Ferocious Aura: Creatures of your choice within 30 feet of you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or become frightened of you for 1 minute. A creature can repeat this saving throw at the end of each of its turns to end the effect early.

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
