Monk
Base Class: Monk

Warriors of the Mastered Weapon develop near mystical mastery with a type of melee weapon. They often wander throughout the land, bringing their martial prowess in support of causes they believe in. The Warrior of the Mastered Weapon gains the following features:

Level 3: Melee Focus Weapon

Choose one kind of melee weapon that lacks the Heavy property to be your Focus Weapon. While it remains your Focus Weapon, you gain proficiency and weapon mastery of that kind of weapon, and it may be considered a Monk weapon for you. Whenever you finish a long rest, you can practice weapon drills and change your focus to a different kind of melee weapon that also lacks the Heavy property.

Level 3: Focus Weapon Parry

You have learned to use your Focus Weapon to defend yourself. You gain a +1 bonus to AC while your Focus Weapon is in your hand and you aren’t incapacitated.

Level 3: Alert Wanderings

You always have the Alarm spell prepared. You can cast it once without a spell slot and without any verbal, somatic or material components as a Mental Alarm. You regain the ability to cast it in this way when you finish a Long Rest.

Level 6: Battle Meditation

At the start of your turn, you can expend 2 focus points to calm your mind and enter into a state of Battle Meditation. The effect lasts for 10 minutes or until you have the Incapacitated condition. You gain \the following benefits while the feature is active:

  • You can take the Dodge action as a Bonus Action.
  • Choose one of the following Fighting Styles; you gain its effects with attacks made with your Focus Weapon while your Battle Meditation is in effect: Dueling, Great Weapon Fighting, Thrown Weapon Fighting or Two-Weapon Fighting. You make this choice upon entering into the Battle Meditation, and you may make a different choice each time you do so.
  • You gain Blindsight with a range of 10 ft.

Level 6: Empowered Focus Weapon

Whenever you deal damage with your Focus Weapon, it can deal your choice of Force damage or its normal type.

Level 11: Enhanced Focus Weapon Mastery

When you attack with your Focus Weapon, you can replace the weapon mastery property with the Cleave, Graze, or Vex property for that attack.

Level 11: Focus Weapon Maneuvers

While you are holding your Focus Weapon, you can expend focus points to empower the following Focus Weapon Maneuvers:

  • Focus Weapon Ambush: When you make a Dexterity (Stealth) check or an Initiative roll, you can expend one focus point to add one martial arts die to the roll, unless you have the incapacitated condition.
  • Distracting Focus Weapon Strike: When you hit a creature with an attack roll for your Focus Weapon, you can expend one focus point to distract the target. Add a martial arts die roll to the attack’s damage roll. The next attack roll by an attacker other than you has Advantage if the attack is made before the start of your next turn.
  • Precision Focus Weapon Attack: When you miss with an attack roll for your Focus Weapon, you can expend one focus point to roll one martial arts die and add that roll to the attack roll, potentially causing the attack to hit.
  • Focus Weapon Riposte: When a creature misses you with a melee attack roll, you can take a Reaction and expend one focus point to make an attack roll with your Focus Weapon against the creature. If you hit, add the martial arts die to the attack’s damage.

Level 17: Master of Arms

  • Enhanced Focus Weapon Maneuvers: You may use any of your Focus Weapon Maneuvers without the need to expend any focus points.
  • Unerring Accuracy: If you miss with an attack roll for your Focus Weapon, you can reroll it. You can use this feature only once on each of your turns.
