Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Godfist is an ancient power stolen from the gods, passed down through generations of mortal masters who hone it's power and keep it alive. However, the school of the Godfist has seen similarities between their own ancient power and the Godseeds held by Ebarians. Using their own knowledge of manipulating the powers of gods, the current master of the Godfist School looks to train Ebarians in how to unleash the latent power of their own Godseed.

Manifest Godseed

Starting at level 3, you can spend two Focus Points as a bonus action to infuse your body with energy from your Godseed. You remain infused for a minute, or until you are incapacitated. While infused this way, you gain the following benefits:

  • Once per turn, when you land an unarmed attack, you may roll an extra martial arts die when determining damage.
  • You may use your Dexterity modifier or Wisdom Modifier instead of your Strength Modifier when determining the DC for the Grapple and Shove options of Unarmed Attacks

Manipulate Creation

Starting at level 3, you learn the Prestidigitation Cantrip. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for this spell.

Portal Attunement

You have an inherent connection to portals and teleportation due to your understanding of your own Godseed. Starting at level 3, you have advantage on any checks made to determine the source, location, destination, or nature of portals or effects that teleport creatures.

Seize Magic

Starting at level 6, you learn how to hold the fabric of reality in your fist. While your Godseed is manifested and you succeed on a saving throw against a spell or magical effect (DM Discretion) for which you were the only target, you may use your reaction to catch the effect in your hand. If you do, you suffer none of the effects of the spell, if they had any on a successful saving throw. The magical effect stays until your hand until the end of your next turn. If you have a spell or magical effect in your hand, you may spend Focus Points equal to the level of the held spell (DM Discretion for Magical Effects) as an action to cast that spell or use that magical effect, using your Monk DC for any saving throws required. Alternatively, you may absorb the spell or magical effect to regain Focus Points equal to the half of the level of the spell, rounded up (no action required). You may only regain Focus Points this way once per Long Rest.

Godseed Portals

The Godseeds are what allows the adventurers of Ebaria to teleport between realms – and with some practice, it can even be used to warp the fabric of reality mid-combat.

Starting at level 11, you may spend 2 Focus Points as a bonus action to choose two unoccupied spaces within 300 ft. of you (this does not require sight). A portal appears in each location, with the diameter of the portal being between 5 to 20 feet (you choose when you create the portals). Each portal can only be entered from the front - the back of the portal appears as a large, swirling golden wall. Passes through the front of one portal teleports any creature or object that does so to the front of the other portal. Additionally, looking at the front of one portal provides a creature with sight from the front of the other portal - spells may be cast and attacks may be made through the portals.

These portals last for one minute. You may close the portals as a bonus action on your turn.

Demigod's Grit

Starting at level 17, you have learned how to channel your full essence into a final blast, to help overcome your foes. While infused and bloodied, you may use an action to launch a massive punch. Choose an number of Hit Dice to spend. For each Hit Dice spent, roll a martial arts die. All creatures in a 30 foot cone must make a Dexterity Saving Throw, taking force damage equal to the number rolled on a failure, and half of the number rolled as damage on a success. You then gain Temporary Hit Points equal to half of the number rolled.

Godseed Recall

Starting at level 17, when you dash on your turn, you may teleport to the entrance of one of your portals within 300 ft. of you.
