Base Class: Bard
Some fairy tales speak of heroic deeds and daring adventurers clothes in crimson. These adventurers often have outlandishly large decorated red hats with white plumed feathers. Red mages draw on the powers of light and dark mixing swordplay and style creating a hero worthy of legend.
Level 3: Red Mage Inspiration
You can use your wit to turn the tide of battle. A creature that has a Bardic Inspiration die from you can use it for one of the following effects.
Bolster. When the creature is hit by an attack roll, that creature can use its Reaction to roll the Bardic Inspiration die and add the number rolled to its Charisma modifier and gain that many temporary hit points to help ward off damage from the attack.
Flarestrike. Immediately after the creature hits a target with an attack roll, the creature can roll the Bardic Inspiration die and add additional fire damage equal to the result.
Level 3: Martial Training, shield training and weaver tool skill
You gain proficiency with Martial weapons and training with Shields. You also gain the ability to craft a special red mage hat and gain tool proficiency weaver so that you can express your millinery skills (hat making).
In addition, whilst wearing your red mage hat you can use it as a Spellcasting Focus to cast spells from your Bard spell list. This hat must spend a minimum of 5 gp of materials in its crafting. You can cast spells that need somatic components even with both hands full whilst wearing your red mage hat.
Level 6: Extra Attack
You can attack twice instead of once whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
In addition, you can cast one of your cantrips that has a casting time of an action in place of one of those attacks.
Red Magic
Learn a mix of dark or light magics. Choose one spell from the wizard spell list of a level of which you can cast, and one spell from the cleric spell list of which you can cast once each per day without expending a spell slot. You can also cast these spells additional times per day using your spell slots. These spells count as a bard spells for you and are always prepared. Whenever you gain a Bard level you can replace these spells with another spell from the wizard class or cleric class list (one from each) that meets these requirements.
Level 14: Improved Red Magic
After you take the attack action on your turn, you can replace one of those attacks with either a cantrip or spell with a casting time of one action.
