Druid
Base Class: Druid

In the desertuous Barrens of the west, they say all life which tries to take purchase in its soil is destined to eventually wither and decay. However, the medusas of Cazhaak Draal and the gargoyles of Grimstone Keep have long understood that stones below are just as alive as anything that walks above. They've learned that the stones carry whispers. The great cliffs have sat and listened for eons, but seldom are they ever heard. One way or another, you've heard the whispers of the stones, and have taken it upon yourself to speak for them.

Level 3: Circle of Stone Spells

When you reach a Druid level specified in the Circle of Stone Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Circle of Stone Spells
Druid Level Prepared Spells
3 Absorb Elements, Earthbind, Earth Tremor, Spike Growth
5 Erupting Earth, Meld Into Stone
7 Stone Shape, Stoneskin
9 Bigby's Hand, Wall of Stone

Level 3: Stone Speaker

Your have the ability to commune with earth and stone. As a Magic action, you imbue stones in an immobile 30-foot Emanation with limited sentience, giving them the ability to communicate with you. You can question stones about events in the spell's area within the past day, gaining information about creatures that have passed, items that might have been removed from the area, and other circumstances. If an earth Elemental or a creature with the Petrified condition is in the area, you can communicate with it as if you shared a language, but you gain no magical ability to influence it. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest.

Level 3: Capture in Stone

When you reduce a creature to 0 Hit Points, you can cause it to turn to stone. A creature turned to stone in this way has the Petrified condition. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a Short or Long Rest. You may spend 1 minute to perform a ritual to end the Petrified condition for a creature affected by this ability. If you do, they regain 1 Hit Point and gain a level of Exhaustion.

Level 6: Form of Stone

Stone is no prison to you. Whenever you have the Petrified condition, you are aware of your surroundings and you have Immunity to Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage. You also do not need to eat, drink, sleep, or breathe. However, while you are Petrified, you cannot restore Hit Points by any means and receive no benefit from Short Rests or Long Rests. At the start of each of your turns, you may choose to end the Petrified condition on yourself (no action required).

Additionally, you have learned to take on a stone form at will. As a Magic action or as a reaction when you take damage, you may expend a use of your Wild Shape feature to give yourself the Petrified condition. If you use this ability as a reaction, The Petrified condition applies before you take the triggering damage, possibly granting Resistance or Immunity to that damage.

Level 10: Stone’s Embrace

When you cast Meld into Stone, you can choose up to five willing creatures within 5 feet of you to also gain the benefits of the spell. Each creature must be touching a stone object or surface large enough to fully contain their body. Affected creatures can end the effect on themselves early by using 5 feet of movement to leave the stone where they entered it. Creatures who finish a Short or Long Rest while under the effect of your Meld into Stone spell gain Resistance against the first instance of damage they take after leaving the stone.

Level 14: Stone Servant

You gain the ability to imbue Petrified creatures with elemental spirits. You may spend a Magic to touch a Petrified creature and turn it into a Earth Elemental Spirit under your control as if you had cast the Summon Elemental spell at 6th-level. The creature's size does not change and you do not need to maintain Concentration. The transformation lasts until the creature that was Petrified has that condition removed, until the Earth Elemental Spirit is reduced to 0 Hit Points, or until you use this feature again.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest.
