Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

Users of dark magic, like hags, witches, and vampires all fear something…the Conclave of Witch Hunters is one of those things. These Rangers specialize in destroying the evil and occult with a vast array of antimagical abilities. Whatever darkness preys upon the innocent, these Rangers answer by silencing them for good.

Level 3: Witch Hunter’s Repertoire

Your training as a Witch Hunter grants you the benefits listed below:

Magic Sense. When you cast Detect Magicthe radius of the Sphere increases to 120 feet.

Occult Studies. You have proficiency in the Arcana and Religion skills.

Level 3: Witch Hunter Spells

When you reach a Ranger level specified in the Witch Hunter Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Witch Hunter Spells
RANGER LEVEL SPELL
3 Detect Magic
5 Silence
9 Dispel Magic
13 Freedom of Movement
17 Dispel Evil and Good

Level 7: Witchhunter’s Mark

When you cast Hunter’s Markthe spell gains the following effects:

Silencing Mark. Any time the affected creature attempts to cast a spell using a verbal component, it must succeed a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC to do so. On a failed save, the spell fails and the action is wasted.

Occult Bane. The extra damage from the spell can be either Fire or Radiant (your choice when the spell is cast) instead of Force.

Level 11: Anti-magic Warrior

When you cast Dispel Magic, you have Advantage on the ability check to dispel the effects of a higher level spell.

In addition, when you cast Silenceyou can choose to increase the radius of the affecting area by up to 20 feet.

Level 15: Hunter of the Occult

Whenever you would fail an Intelligence, a Wisdom, or a Charisma saving throw, you can choose to succeed instead. You can use this feature twice, regaining all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest. At Ranger level 18, you can use this feature three times.

Whenever you succeed an Intelligence, a Wisdom, or a Charisma saving throw from a spell or other magical effect cast from another creature, you can take a Reaction to cast Hunter’s Mark on that creature if they weren’t affected by it already and deal Fire or Radiant damage to them equal to your Ranger level.
