Base Class: Warlock
You made a pact with a twisted spirit of winter and hunger—an ancient Wendigo—or the raw curse of Wendigoism itself. At first, the curse threatens to overtake you. But as your power grows, you learn to bend the monster to your will, gaining control of your transformation and turning the nightmare into a weapon.

Level 1: Curse of Hunger (Unstable Beginning)
Wendigo's Hunger (Unstable Form): As a bonus action, you may enter a Wendigo State for 1 minute. While in this state:
-
-
Your unarmed strikes deal 1d6 slashing damage, and you can use Charisma instead of Strength for them.
-
You gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier (min 1) when you reduce a creature to 0 HP.
-
However, at the start of each of your turns, roll a d6:
-
On a 1, you must use your action to attack the nearest creature, friend or foe, using a melee weapon or unarmed strike.
-
On a 6, you may make one additional unarmed strike as part of your Attack action that turn.
-
-
You can use this transformation a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. Regain all uses on a long rest.
Level 6: Steady the Beast
-
When in Wendigo State, you no longer risk attacking allies, but your hunger for violence still simmers. Replace the d6 roll with the following:
-
On a 1, you must move toward the nearest hostile creature and attempt to harm it if possible.
-
On a 6, you regain 1 expended warlock spell slot (can occur once per transformation).
-
-
You gain resistance to cold damage and immunity to effects from hunger and exhaustion caused by lack of food.
-
Additionally, you gain Darkvision up to 60 feet, or it increases by 30 feet if you already have it.
Level 10: Controlled Transformation
-
You may now enter Wendigo State with full control: no longer roll for random effects.
-
When you activate your Wendigo State, choose one of the following benefits:
-
Savage: Gain one extra attack when you use the Attack action.
-
Predator: Creatures within 60 feet that can see you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of you for one minute. The DC is equal to your spell save DC.
-
Feast: When you kill a creature, you regain hit points equal to your warlock level.
-
You can now stay in Wendigo State for up to 10 minutes, and it ends early only if you fall unconscious or dismiss it as a bonus action.
Level 14: Master of the Wendigo
-
Once per long rest, you can enter True Wendigo Form as an action for 1 minute. While in this form:
-
You gain temporary hit points equal to your warlock level × 2.
-
Your unarmed strikes deal an additional 2d6 cold damage, and crit on a 19–20.
-
Enemies within 10 feet of you that are frightened take double cold damage.
-
You can move across difficult terrain created by ice or snow without penalty, and you leave no tracks.
-
While in this form, you retain your full personality and choices—you are now the Wendigo's master, not its slave.
