Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Conducting, also known as Blade Conductors, are remarkable masters of symphony who dedicate their lives to mastering the parallels between swordplay and music. In that twilight zone - rhythm, cadence, and tempo - is where Blade Conductors create art. These bards see battle as symphony, and seek to create art amidst the bloodshed by means of a dazzling dance of whirling blades which soar to and fro across the field of battle.

Level 3: Maestro

You gain Proficiency with one type of melee weapon of your choice that lacks the Two-Handed property.

Bardic Blade. Whenever you grant a creature a Bardic Inspiration die, you can summon a Bardic Blade - a spectral blade that takes on the form of a weapon of your choice. The Bardic Blade appears in an unoccupied space within 5 ft. of the creature or you, and hovers in place. When a Friendly creature is within 5 ft. of a Bardic Blade, the first time they hit an enemy with an attack, the Blade strikes in tandem, granting that creature a bonus to the attack's damage roll equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum +1 bonus). The damage is the same type as the attack that triggered this effect. A creature may benefit from this effect once per turn.

Any Bardic Blades you have vanish after 1 minute.

Level 3: Ensemble

When a hostile creature within 10 ft. of a Bardic Blade hits an ally with an attack, you can use your Reaction to cause that Blade to slash at all enemies within 10 ft. of it. Enemies within 10 ft. of that Bardic Blade must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Spell Save DC, or take Slashing damage equal to one roll of your Bardic Inspiration die plus your Charisma modifier, or half as much damage on a success.

Level 6: Staccato

As a Bonus Action, you can recall all summoned Bardic Blades, which come flying to you in a straight line. Creatures whose occupied space is in the path of a Blade are subjected to an effect depending on whether they are Hostile or Friendly to you:

Friendly. A Friendly creature gains a number of Temporary Hit Points equal to your Bard level when a Bardic Blade passes through it's space.

Hostile. A Hostile creature has Disadvantage on the first attack roll they make before the end of your next turn.

Recalled Blades. Bardic Blades that you summon to you through this feature no longer grant the effects of your Maestro or Ensemble features. Instead, they hover around you, granting you a +1 bonus to AC per Blade you recall in this way. Recalled Blades vanish after 1 minute, or after you use this feature again.

Level 6: Encore

In addition to summoning a Bardic Blade when you grant a creature a Bardic Inspiration die, you can now summon a Bardic Blade when a creature expends a Bardic Inspiration die as well.

Level 14: Magnum Opus

Whenever you hit a creature with an attack roll, you can expend any number of Bardic Blades you've recalled from your Staccato feature, causing them to fly towards that creature.

That creature must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Spell Save DC or take Slashing damage equal to a number of Bardic Inspiration dice equal to the amount of Bardic Blades you send toward them, or half as much damage on a success.

You choose how many of your Bardic Blades that you've recalled you expend. These Bardic Blades vanish after the target makes it's save.
