Base Class: Monk
A monk who follows the path of a judo master is usually more versatile with grapples and throws than a normal martial artist. Easily taking the upper hand in melee combat, judo masters are skilled in taking down opponents regardless of their size and origin.
Combat Guidance
Starting when you chose this way at 3rd level, you learn how to guide your opponents in battle with enhanced grapples and shoves. Whenever you attempt a grapple or shove, you can add up your dexterity modifier on the Strength (Athletics) Check.
Also, your shoves push creatures 10ft away instead of only 5ft.
Judo Throw
Also at 3rd level, you learn the special throws that Judo masters use in combat. Whenever you successfully grapple a creature, you can spend 1 ki point and immediatly throw this creature on the ground or against any object within 5ft of you. If you do so, the creature takes an ammount of bludgeoning damage equal to a roll of your martial art dice plus your Strength or Dexterity modifier (whichever is higher) and is knocked prone. If you throw a creature against a medium or larger object, you add up one additional martial arts dice to the damage of the throw.
After the throw, the creature is automatically freed from the grapple.
Astral Technique
Starting at 6th level, your techniques with throw are developed beyond that of a normal Judo master. Whenever you attempt a grapple against a Medium or smaller creature, you have advantage on the Strength (Athletics) Check.
Also, you can attempt a grapple even against creatures who are immune to the grappled condition. In this case, you have disadvantage on the Strength (Athletics) Checks instead.
Combat Awareness
Starting at 11th level, you developed a sense of caution when in combat. Whenever you use your Judo Throw feature, you can also throw the grappled creature against another creature within 5ft. If you choose to do so, roll a proficient melee weapon attack against the second creature's AC, dealing two martial arts die plus your strength or dexterity modifier (whichever is higher) as bludgeoning damage and knocking both creatures prone on a hit. On a miss, only the thrown creature takes the damage and is knocked prone.
Orbital Throw
Starting at 17th level, you masterize your Judo Throw. Whenever you successfully throw a creature with your Judo Throw feature, you can spend 2 additional ki points. If you do so, the creature also becomes incapacitated for 1 minute.
