Base Class: Barbarian
You are a living conduit for a power that once shattered mountains and made dragons tremble – the primal fury of the Valheru, the Dragon Lords of old. This echo is not true Valheru might, not the god-like power of Ashen-Shugar, but a terrifying, instinctual surge, a shard of their ancient, chaotic essence that has inexplicably found purchase in your mortal soul. When your rage ignites, this echo flares, imbuing you with draconic resilience, elemental fury, and a terrifying presence that speaks of a bygone age of raw, untamed magic. To walk this path is to wrestle with a power far greater than yourself, to channel a cataclysm while striving to maintain your own identity against its overwhelming, ancient will. Each roar carries the thunder of dragon wings, each strike the impact of a falling star.
Echo of Fury
When you choose this path at 3rd level, the primal energy of the Valheru surges through you when you rage. When you enter your rage, choose one of the following damage types: acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder.
- While you are raging, the first creature you hit on each of your turns with a melee weapon attack takes an extra 1d6 damage of the chosen type.
- The extra damage increases to 2d6 when you reach 10th level in this class.
Draconic Resilience
The echo of the Dragon Lords fortifies your form. Your hit point maximum increases by an amount equal to your barbarian level when you adopt this path (so, by 3 at 3rd level), and it increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class.
- Additionally, while you are raging, you gain resistance to the damage type you selected for your Echo of Fury.
Valheru Might
At 6th level, your connection to the Valheru's raw power deepens, granting you echoes of their legendary physical prowess.
While raging:
- Your carrying capacity (including maximum load and maximum lift) is doubled. This reflects a surge of superhuman strength.
- Your melee weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20. This heightened ferocity channels the destructive potential of the Dragon Lords.
Primal Roar
Starting at 10th level, you can unleash a terrifying roar imbued with the ancient power of the Valheru. As an action while you are raging, you can force each creature of your choice that you can see within 30 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier).
- On a failed save, a creature is frightened of you for 1 minute. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
- Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest. You can also expend one use of your rage to use this feature again.
Ascendant Echo
At 14th level, the Valheru echo within you surges with near-overwhelming power, granting you a glimpse of true ascendancy.
- The extra damage from your Echo of Fury feature increases from 2d6 to 3d6.
Unleashed Power: While raging, if you take damage that would reduce you to 0 hit points but not kill you outright, you can use your reaction to instead drop to 1 hit point. If you do, you immediately unleash a devastating burst of the elemental energy currently active for your Echo of Fury. Each creature (friend or foe) within 15 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier). A creature takes elemental damage equal to three times your barbarian level on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. After unleashing this power, your rage ends immediately, and you suffer one level of exhaustion. Once you use this reaction, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
