Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of Resonance seek to understand all creatures and value oneness where it can be found. They attempt to connect with any creature, friendly, alien, and hostile. These monks learn to sense the energy in each individual and adjust their own ki to match theirs. A monk of this tradition can use the resonating energy to release powerful bursts of ki.
Sensory Awakening
When you choose this tradition at level 3, your meditations have awakened your awareness to the kinetic vibrations created by living creatures.
Kinetic Senses: In a 30 ft. radius around you, you are aware of invisible creatures and can sense their location. When blinded, attacks against your sensory range are no longer at advantage and your attacks are not at disadvantage. A creature with full cover can hide from you. This range increases by an additional 30 ft. at levels 6, 11, and 17.
Spiritual Empath: You gain proficiency in the Perception or Insight skill if you don't already have it.
Resonate Strike
When you reach level 6, you learn to manipulate the frequency of your ki to resonate with another creature's. You can make a resonate strike against another creature by spending 1 ki point. Every creature in a 15 ft. cone behind your target and facing away from you must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 1d6 + your Wisdom modifier as force damage and half as much on a successful one. This die increases as your martial arts die increases. On a critical hit, you double the damage of the amplified ki.
Form Mastery
At level 11, you further the mastery over you ki manipulation and can affect the form of your resonate strikes. When you land a resonate strike you can spend 1 additional ki point to shape the kinetic energy into the following options:
Four Finger Spear: The kinetic energy is released as a 30 ft. long and 5 ft. wide line behind the target and deals an additional 2d6 piercing damage.
Giant Fist: The kinetic energy is released as a 15 ft. cube centered behind your target and deals an additional 1d6 bludgeoning damage.
Burst: The kinetic energy is released as a 15 ft. radius sphere centered around the target. You and your target are unaffected. Creatures who fail their saving throw are knocked prone.
Transcendence
When you reach level 17, you can enter into a transcendent state, sharpening your sense and awareness of each creature within your kinetic senses. As an action you can spend 8 ki points to cast Foresight on your self which lasts for 1 hour.
