Base Class: Warlock
You have entered into a pact with a siren—a beguiling entity whose haunting melodies and captivating presence lure the unwary to their doom. These enigmatic beings dwell in the depths of the sea, their voices weaving enchantments that can charm even the most resolute hearts. Whether drawn by the promise of forbidden knowledge, the allure of their song, or compelled by circumstances beyond your control, your bond with a siren grants you access to their mesmerising powers.
Siren patrons vary in nature and intent. Some are ancient sea spirits who guard the secrets of the ocean's depths, while others are vengeful nymphs or fey exiles seeking to reclaim lost influence. Regardless of their origins, all sirens share a common trait: an irresistible charm that ensnares the senses and bends wills to their own.
Sirens Magic
Due to the song and charm of the Siren, a Warlock in a pact with it gains access to Bard Spells, in addition to Command.
Song of the Sirens
Starting at 1st level, a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier, you may begin to sing using the voice of your patron.
Any creature within a 10 ft. sphere centred on you must make a Charisma Saving Throw against your Spellsave DC or become Charmed.
At the start of the target's turn, they may repeat the Save. Upon a success, the target loses the Charmed condition; on a fail, the target remains charmed, but the DC is reduced by 1.
Range is increased by 5 ft. on 7th, 12th and 17th level.
Deceivers Blade
Starting at 6th level, you learn to exploit the weakness of those who are charmed by your song.
When attacking a creature that has the Charmed condition, you gain advantage on your attack roll.
When dealing damage to a creature that has the Charmed condition, you may reroll any 1s but must take the new result.
Resonance
Starting at 10th and again at 16th level, you may choose from the following effects:
Beguiling Resonance
Your song resonates with that of your Patron, raising its magic to greater heights.
Creatures that are resilient to being Charmed (Namely Elves, etc.) lose their saving throw advantage.
At 15th level, this applies even if that creature is immune to being Charmed, instead only gaining advantage on their saving throw.
At 20th level, this completely removes immunity to the Charmed condition from any victim of your charm effects.
Empowering Resonance
Your song flows like water through the bodies of your allies, granting them new strength.
If a target of your song is an ally instead of being Charmed, they instead gain temporary hitpoints equal to twice your Warlock level and gain temporary Inspiration, lasting until the end of combat.
At 15th level, this also heals the ally for an amount equal to the temporary hitpoints gained.
At 20th level, this grants a unique variant of inspiration that guarantees a minimum roll of 10.
Engulfing Resonance
Your song grows deep and melancholic like the abyss of the ocean.
Targets affected by your song must also make a Strength Saving throw against your Spellsave DC or become Restrained.
At 15th level, your song also leaves a permanent difficult terrain water hazard.
At 20th level, this effect instead applies [Tooltip Not Found] to the target.
Aquatic Scourge
Starting at 14th level, you become a threat to be reckoned with even among sirens themselves.
Drowning Melody
Your song causes targets to count as if they were in water for the purpose of ability activation.
Might of the Oceans
While inside water, you gain a +2 to attack rolls and saving throws.
Water Stride
Additionally, whenever a creature within 30 ft. enters water, you may teleport within 5 ft. of them as a reaction and without provoking opportunity attacks as long as the landing square has water on it.
You may also attack said creature as a free action.
This attack uses your Spellcasting modifier and deals 6d12 magical bludgeoning damage.
This can be done up to three times per long rest.
