Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Your patron is a being from far beyond the material plane; one who watches over the flow of time, acting as judge and jury to those who break the laws of the universe. The executioners, however, are selected individuals from across the planes that these entities deem worthy. These warlocks may be keepers of knowledge, the eyes and ears of the Timekeeper, or the ones who are sent to hunt those who bend the flow of time to their whim. You alone are sanctified to shift reality, all to accomplish the missions set out by the ever-present Timekeeper.

Expanded Spell List

The Timekeeper lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Timekeeper Expanded Spells
Warlock Level Spells
3 False Life, Feather Fall, Ray of Enfeeblement, Sanctuary
5 Haste, Slow
7 Banishment, Death Ward
9 Passwall, Raise Dead

Curse of Time

Starting at level 3, whenever you damage an opponent with a spell, they become afflicted with the Curse of Time. As their body begins to wither away under the advancing passage of time, enemies under this effect take force damage equal to half of your proficiency modifier (rounded up) at the start of their turn for the next minute.

Time Reclaimer

When you reduce a creature to zero hit points, you are able to steal a portion of time that they could have lived. Absorbing this last bit of fleeting temporal energy adds 1 year to your total lifespan.

Additionally, once per turn when you use this effect, you can choose to receive either an extra bonus action or reaction.

Temporal Synchronization

At level 6, you learn to peer into timelines. As an action, you attempt to see glimpses of a creature's immediate future that you can see within 60 feet of you. The target must make an Intelligence saving throw. On a failed save, you gain sight of their intentions and steal time to react accordingly. During the creature's turn, you gain the following benefits:

  • You can move up to your speed during the creature's turn by moving in tandem. For every 5 feet the creature moves, you can also move 5 feet.
  • You know what action and bonus action the creature will take, along with its targets, just before it happens.
  • Before the creature uses its action or bonus action, you can expend your reaction to use any remaining movement and use an action or bonus action.

On your next turn, you must only take either an action, a bonus action, or move, as the stolen time pulls you back into its normal flow.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to half of your proficiency modifier (rounded up), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.

Chronal Syphoning

Also at level 6, whenever an enemy is affected by Slow, you gain an additional action on your turn which can only be used to take either the dash or dodge action.

Time Shift

By level 10, when you are about to take damage, you can use your reaction to project your body forward a few seconds, negating any damage or effects. You are considered banished until the start of your next turn. After you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.

Upon reaching level 16, you may use this feature twice before needing to finish a long rest.

Offering to the Timekeeper

After achieving level 14, you may sacrifice an additional spell slot and 10 years of your lifespan when casting a spell to create one of the following effects:

  • Eternity. If the spell requires concentration, its duration increases tenfold. If the spell ends for any reason other than its duration being reached, you may use your reaction to shift reality and cast it again with its original duration without expending a spell slot.
  • Certainty. If the spell has an instantaneous duration, its duration changes to 1 minute of concentration. On subsequent turns, you may attempt to cast the spell again without expending a spell slot. To do so, you must succeed on a Charisma check with a DC of 8 + 3 per each time the spell has been successfully cast prior to the current attempt.

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until after you finish a long rest.
