Base Class: Fighter
While others mastered swordplay in the arenas or on the battlefield, your path led you skyward. You studied the stars—not as omens or decorations, but as ancient teachers. In their slow dance and burning light, you found rhythm, power, and purpose.
A Startrained Blade channels the strength and wisdom of the cosmos through body and strike. Whether learned from a reclusive order beneath meteor showers or discovered in solitary nights of stargazing, your training has attuned you to the celestial harmony that governs all things. Through deep focus and ritual motion, you call down that harmony into your fists and movements.
You fight not just with arms and strength, but with the elegance of orbits and the inevitability of gravity. Each blow lands with the weight of a falling star; each motion echoes the ancient constellations that once guided empires.
Where others see the stars as distant and cold, you see a forge—and you are its blade.
Heavenly body
The stars align with your soul, weaving a faint celestial wreath of light and orbiting motes—planets, stars, and cosmic symbols—around your hands.
As a bonus action, you can invoke the power of the heavens and activate this feature. When you do, you gain a number of Celestial Charges equal to fighter level/2.
You may immediately expend one of these charges to enter a state of heavenly body, which lasts for 1 minute or until you are incapacitated.
While in this state:
-
Your attacks deal an extra 1d4 radiant damage.
-
You shed dim light in a 10-foot radius, which you can suppress or resume (no action required).
-
You can end heavenly body early as a bonus action.
- SUBCLASS NOTE
for the purposes of multiclassing or spell attacks, the word "attack" in this subclass, does not mean spell attacks, given to you by a spellcasting feature, pact feature, or similar features that grant the ability to cast spells.
Knowledge of the stars
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency with cartography tools and advantage on knowledge checks about space.
Heavenly blessing
The stars do not rush—they move with purpose, and so do you. Through long nights of study and silent motion, you have learned to mirror their rhythm. Your form becomes a constellation in motion, your strikes the falling points of light that trace their path across the sky.
Starting at 7th level, your bond with the stars deepens. You learn to shift through starlight and strike with luminous precision.
You gain the following ways to spend Celestial Charges:
-
Starstep (1 charge) – When you take the Attack action, you can teleport up to 10 feet to an unoccupied space you can see before or after any attack made during the action. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.
-
Signal Strike (1 charge) – When you make an attack, you can add +1d4 to the attack roll. If the strike hits, the target glows faintly until the start of your next turn. The next attack made against it has advantage.
these can only be used in the form
Heavens permanence
The heavens no longer visit you—they remain with you. What once flared in moments of focus now lingers in your veins, steady and sure. The glow around your fists is no longer summoned; it is part of you. You are not just a student of the stars. You are their chosen weapon.
at 10th level, your radiant damage feature, goes to a d6, and your attacks, while in the form, are considered magical for the purposes of overcoming resistances and immunities
Heavens Descent
In the stillness before battle, when your strength falters and your reserves run dry, the heavens answer. Not as a reward. Not as mercy. But as destiny. The sky does not forget its chosen—and when you are empty, it sends fire to fill your hands.
Starting at 15th level when you roll initiative and have no charges left, you gain 3 charges, charges now reset on both a long and short rest.
Heaven's Echo
our movements mirror the stars so closely that fragments of their light now follow you—silent, orbiting echoes of your perfect form. They shimmer faintly with every strike, as if the cosmos itself is repeating you.
You are followed by a set of three faint stars or heavenly bodies—stellar echoes—that orbit you while you are conscious. They represent your perfected connection to the heavens.
-
Once per turn, when you hit with an attack, you can call upon one of these echoes to strike. The echoed strike deals your attacks same base weapon damage with no inclusion from any of tthe weapons additional features, plus an additional 1d6 radiant to the same target and is treated as magical. you use the same to hit bonus as your weapon, and must roll for an attack
-
You can only activate one echo per turn, and the stars restore at the end of a long rest.
-
While at least one echo remains, you shed a faint, harmless celestial glow and can read the night sky as if under a commune spell once per day, though only for guidance about your path
