Level 3: Liquid Magic

You have found a way to work your magical energies into the world as a plasm or liquid, distilled power. When you prepare any of your artificer spells for the day using either your Brewer’s or Alchemy supplies you can use this feature to make those spells into a potion. Doing this means you cast the spell into the bottle using your spell slots. These liquid magic potions are treated as a held spell, no concentration required. The spell is released when the liquid is removed from the container either by drinking or if the container becomes broken or spilled. Any creature can use an action to ‘activate’ the potion using your spell casting modifier. If the spell requires concentration the creature using it must maintain the concentration for the spell. These spell potions last until used or you use this feature to make another using your spell slots. You may choose which potion becomes inert when you use this feature.

Level 3: Prepared vessel

You may prepare one vessel such as a bottle or other liquid container per long rest. This container can have a spell cast into it from anyone, which uses the properties of your liquid magic feature. You may only have one vessel prepared at a time and you may prepare it at the end of a long rest. The preparation of this vessel requires either alchemist supplies or brewer’s supplies.

Level 5: Mixologist

Your skills in brewing potions have evolved in a few ways. You may now brew potions in half the normal amount of time and for half the cost. This includes all rarities of potions. You can also use this feature to modify already made potions in two ways.

Mixing- Using Brewer’s supplies you can mix the effects of two potions into one draft. When you do roll your arcana. On a roll of a 1 the new potion will also have a wild magic component to it. The GM will consult the wild magic table on a roll of 99-100 re roll on the table.

Distilling- Using Alchemist's supplies you can concentrate a potion to make it more effective. After a long rest you can distill one potion, doubling the amount of dice rolled for it and adding your INT modifier to the roll. (For example with an INT of 20, you distill a potion of healing, you now roll 4D4 + 5)

If the potion doesn’t have dice to roll you can double the duration of its effect.

Level 9: Reactive Potions

Your research in potion making has led you to discover infusions/Plans that can be woven into your potions. While brewing a potion or while using your liquid magic feature you can infuse a potion with one of the following potion infusions

Maxed potion- with this infusion you make the potion crackle with energy, instead of rolling dice for the potion it has the maximum effect. (Example: Potion of Healing will heal you for 10 hit points instead of the 2d4+2)

Potion Grenade- This potion will now vaporize when thrown. The effects of this potion will now affect all creatures in a 10 ft radius. (Example: Potion of healing will now heal all creatures in a 10ft radius for 2d4+2)

Concentration Potion- This potion swirls with what looks like sand particles from an hour glass inside. This infusion removes the concentration requirement for the spell, making it last it’s whole duration.

Delayed Potion- This potion infusion allows you to set a delay to a potion’s effect. You may set a specific time delay once the potion is activated.

Mimics Attention- This infusion allows you to set a trigger to activate the potion’s effect as per the Glyph of Warding spell. There is no distance restriction on moving this potion.

Bottled Genius

Your research has bore you with the highest and deadliest of potion recipes. Using your Liquid Magic feature you are able to cast Wish into a potion. Using this Feature uses up your two highest spell slots for the spell. (For example: At 17th level you will use one 5th level spell slot and one 4th level spell slot.)

When you brew this potion you must roll your Arcana on a roll of a 1 this Potion gains 2 wild magic effects. The DM rolls on the wild magic table not telling the player what they are  (99-100 re roll) and whatever tools you were using to create this potion are destroyed.

You may only have one bottle of genius at any time. Once the potion has been used you may brew another in 1D6 long rests
