Base Class: Barbarian

🧊 Level 3 – Frostbite Ferocity

When you choose this path at 3rd level, you gain the following features while raging:

  • Frostbite Strikes: Your melee weapon attacks deal extra cold damage equal to your Rage Damage bonus.
  • Icy Rend: Once per turn when you hit a creature with a melee weapon or unarmed strike, you may force it to make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failure, its speed is reduced by 10 feet and it can’t take reactions until the start of its next turn.

Additionally, you gain resistance to cold damage, even while not raging.

❄️ Level 6 – Frozen Instinct

Your senses become honed like a predator in a snowstorm. While raging:

  • You can see through heavily obscured conditions caused by snow, fog, or magical cold effects as if they were lightly obscured.
  • You have advantage on initiative rolls and Wisdom (Perception) checks relying on hearing or smell.
  • Difficult terrain caused by ice, snow, or frost doesn’t cost you extra movement.

Also, you cannot be surprised while raging.

🐾 Level 10 – Spirit of the Fang

You gain the ability to manifest the essence of a great tundra predator. As a bonus action while raging, you can assume a bestial, frost-infused form for 1 minute. You gain the following benefits:

  • Your unarmed strikes deal 1d10 slashing + your Strength modifier + Rage Damage, and count as magical for overcoming resistance and immunity.
  • When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a melee or unarmed attack, you can use your reaction to move up to half your speed and make another unarmed strike against a different creature within range.
  • Creatures that start their turn grappled by you or restrained by you take cold damage equal to your proficiency bonus.

You can use this feature once per long rest, or again by expending a Rage.

🧊 Level 14 – Avalanche Soul

The spirit of winter now lives in your blood.

  • While raging, you are immune to cold damage and frightened condition.
  • When you rage, the ground within 10 feet of you becomes coated in magical frost. This area is difficult terrain for enemies until the end of your next turn.
  • Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a melee attack while raging, you can force it to make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your Strength modifier + proficiency bonus). On a failure, it is knocked prone and takes an additional 2d6 cold damage.

Flavor Hook

Barbarians of the Frozen Fang often wear cloaks of white-furred beasts, etch ice runes into their skin, or bear totems shaped like wolves, sabre-cats, or frost-serpents. Many are revered (or feared) as frost-bound prophets, death-stalkers, or chosen warriors of glacial gods.
