Base Class: Fighter
A warrior who traverses through darkness and peril, guided by the lights of the night sky. Emboldened by stars, they dance through battlefields with swift strikes and take on whatever the night may have in store.
Emboldened by Stars
When you take this martial archetype at 3rd level, the power of the Stars emboldens you. You gain a number of Starlight charges equivalent to your proficiency modifier plus half of your Charisma modifier, rounded down. Starlight charges are regained at the end of a Long Rest.
You additionally gain Star Sigils equivalent to your proficiency modifier. These Star Sigils can then be applied to a weapon, turning it into a Starsaber. Starsaber weapons have a bonus to hit equivalent to the wielder’s Charisma modifier.
Starsabers can also be transmuted into Starlight and reformed back into your hand on command.
You additionally gain 60 feet of Darkvision during Nighttime, and gain the Cantrip Dancing Lights.
You may also gain proficiency in one Skill of your Choice out of Arcana, Nature, or Stealth.
Guiding Starlight
At 3rd level, you can expend your Starlight Charges in various ways.
- Constellation: After attacking an enemy, you may expend a Starlight charge to attack an additional enemy within 15ft of the first one. You may spend a maximum of 2 Starlight charges, and thereby attack a maximum of 2 additional enemies per turn using this ability.
- Nebula: After attacking an enemy, you may expend a single Starlight charge to envelop your blade in a spiraling stream of multi-colored Starlight. This Starlight adds 1d6 Radiant damage to the attack.
- Parallax: As a bonus action, you may expend two Starlight charges to disappear in a flash of Starlight and reappear in an unoccupied space. This space can be either a position within 30 feet that you can see, or a position within 30 feet that someone who can see you can also see.
- Luminate: As a bonus action, you may expend a starlight charge to infuse your eyes with Starlight, allowing you to gain 120ft of Darkvision, regardless of whether it is day or night.
Additionally, your sense of direction while the Stars are out is impeccable; you will always be able to determine your own position based on the Constellations in the night sky.
Brilliant Stars
At 7th level, your Guiding Starlight becomes stronger. The charge limits on Constellation and Nebula are raised by 1. Parallax may transport an additional allied creature within 5 feet of you, and an additional charge may be spent when using Luminate to allow for Darkvision sight through Magical Darkness.
You may also mark one additional weapon with a Star Sigil.
You also gain advantage on Charisma (Intimidation, Persuasion, Deception) at nighttime.
You may also gain proficiency in one Skill of your Choice out of Arcana, Nature, or Stealth.
Guiding Moonlight
At 10th level, you look to the moon to guide you through the Night as well as the Stars. You gain Moonlight charges equivalent to your proficiency bonus plus half of your Intelligence and Wisdom modifiers added together, rounded down. These Moonlight charges can be spent in a variety of ways.
- Crescent: While making an attack, you may expend a Moonlight charge to transform your attack into a cleave attack that hits in a 7ft cone, and an additional Moonlight charge may be spent to transform this into a 12ft cone.
- Dark Moon: After attacking an enemy, you may expend a single Moonlight charge to send out a wave of dark blue moonlight. This wave adds 1d8 cold damage to an attack.
- Moonrise: As a bonus action, you may expend two Moonlight charges to cloak yourself in brilliant blue Moonlight. While cloaked in this Moonlight. You gain a flying speed equivalent to double your movement speed. This flight lasts for 3 turns.
You also gain one Moon Sigil. A weapon marked by a Moon sigil gains a bonus to attack rolls equivalent to the wielder's Intelligence and Wisdom modifiers added together, rounded down.
Waxing Light
At the 15th level, when you use a Second Wind, you may choose to regain 1 Starlight charge or 1 Moonlight charge. You additionally gain a number of Second Wind uses equivalent to half of your Charisma Modifier, rounded down.
You may also gain proficiency in one Skill of your Choice out of Arcana, Nature, or Stealth.
Sunlight Slayer
At 18th level, your connection to the Night sky has been elevated to its strongest state. Three times per day, you may call upon the Strength of all the Lights in the Night Sky to blot out the sun. You may summon the Night Sky for one minute and gain all the benefits a Nightfarer gains while under the night.
Additionally, the charge expenditure limits on both your Moonlight and Starlight charge abilities are raised by 1.
