Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

Ever feel like the Wizard subclasses don't do enough? Ever feel like you basically didn't get a level at all when you get a subclass feature you'll never use? Fear not! The Wizardier Wizard is here! This subclass aims to just be Wizard+, since the base kit is already so good, now you just get more base kit.

Mana Pool

Beginning at second level, you gain a pool of mana reserve that you can tap into to expand your magical capabilities. Whenever you would expend a spell slot for any reason, including when casting a spell and when casting a non-Wizard spell, you can choose to instead expend a number of mana points equal to the level of the spell slot. You regain all expended mana points after a long rest. You may not use your mana pool to cast spells of higher levels than your highest level spell slot, and you may only use your mana pool to substitute a spell slot of fourth level or lower.

The maximum amount of mana points in your reserve is equal to your Wizard level.

Enhanced Preparation

Beginning at second level, you may prepare a number of extra spells equal to half your Wizard level after a long rest.

Arcane Knowledge

When you reach sixth level, you immediately learn six new spells of your choice. Five of them must be of a level for which you have spell slots, and one may be for a level which you don't have spell slots. If you choose to learn a spell of a higher level than you have slots available for, you may not cast that spell as you would normally until you gain a spell slot of the appropriate level. You can still cast that spell by making use of scrolls or other similar magic items.

Additionally, beginning at sixth level, you may now learn three new spells instead of two when you gain a level in this class.

Improved Formulas

Upon reaching 10th level, you immediately learn five new Wizard cantrips.

Additionally, beginning at 10th level, you can use your Cantrip Formulas feature to replace all of your Wizard cantrips after a long rest.

High Magic

Starting at certain Wizard levels, you gain additional spell slots. These spell slots are added to your totals and recover on a long rest, like regular spell slots.

14th Wizard level: one fifth level spell slot, one sixth level spell slot, and one seventh level spell slot.

16th Wizard level: one eighth level spell slot.
