Base Class: Bard
“We’re all born naked, and the rest is flair.” — Monique Mystique, A Diva of the College of Spotlight
The College of the Spotlight celebrates unapologetic expression, dramatic transformation, and the power of commanding attention. Bards of this college are performance artists, often flamboyant, magnetic, and larger than life. Inspired by drag culture, they channel glamour, wit, and biting charm into their magic — turning stages into battlefields and runways into sanctuaries.
These bards believe their identity is their art, and they wield it with a fierce strut, a sharp tongue, and the power to turn ridicule into applause.

Flavor & Roleplay Ideas:
- Your bard might have a magical “drag name” that triggers their transformed persona.
- Glamour and self-expression are your armor and your weapon.
- You might run an underground cabaret, host magical competitions, or travel as a one-bard show.
Command The Room
When you choose this college at 3rd level, your presence is undeniable. You gain proficiency in Deception and one of the following: Intimidation, Performance, or Persuasion (your choice).
Additionally, as a bonus action, you can expend one use of Bardic Inspiration to draw the eyes of all within 60 feet. Choose a number of creatures up to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1). Each target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = your spell save DC) or have disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks not targeting you until the end of their next turn. Allies within 60ft who can see you then gain advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed until then.
Look That Slays
You’ve mastered magical transformation in service of style. You learn the disguise self spell if you don’t already know it, and you can cast it without expending a spell slot a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier per long rest. When you cast disguise self this way, it may include subtle magical enhancements such as glittering eyes, sparkling auras, or shifting colors.
In addition, while under the effects of disguise self or another illusion spell, you can choose to gain temporary hit points equal to your bard level at the start of each of your turns for 1 minute. You may do this once per long rest.
Shade and Shine
You’ve mastered the art of shade — turning words into weapons. When a creature fails a saving throw against one of your enchantment or illusion spells, you can deliver a devastating read (a magical quip). Choose one:
- Shade: The creature has disadvantage on its next saving throw and takes psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
- Shine: An ally within 30 feet who can hear you gains temporary hit points equal to your bard level and may immediately move up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier per long rest.
Legendary Entrance
You enter battle like it’s the final runway walk. As an action, you can make a Legendary Entrance, transforming your appearance in a dazzling spectacle. Choose a number of creatures equal to your Charisma modifier within 60 feet. Each creature must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = your spell save DC). On a failed save, a creature is either charmed, frightened, or blinded (your choice) for 1 minute. Affected creatures can repeat the save at the end of each of their turns.
Allies who see the entrance are emboldened — they gain inspiration (as if from your Bardic Inspiration) without using a use of the feature.
You can use this feature once per long rest.
