Base Class: Druid
Some druids dedicate themselves to caring for plants, particularly flowering plants. This circle is known as the Circle of Blossoms, and their members have as much variety as the flowers do. Experts of utilitarian magic, the Circle of Blossoms channels the properties of flowers to influence their own magical abilities.
Circle Spells
Your mystical connection to flowers infuses you with the ability to cast certain spells. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to circle spells connected to the form you choose to be in.
Once you gain access to a circle spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.
Circle of Blossoms Spells
Druid Level | Spells |
---|---|
3rd | Calm Emotions, Maximillian's Earthen Grasp |
5th | Plant Growth, Protection from Energy |
7th | Divination, Freedom of Movement |
9th | Commune with Nature, Insect Plague |
Verdant Blood
At 6th level, your body becomes more plant-like. You can cast Speak with Plants at will, without expending a spell slot or material components. Additionally, you are resistant to poison damage and have an advantage on saves throws versus poison.
Razorpetal Storm
At 10th level, when you are attacked by an enemy you can see who is within 30 feet of you, you may use your reaction to impose disadvantage by conjuring magic, deadly petals. If the attack still deals damage to you, the creature takes slashing damage equal to your Wisdom modifier. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Soul of the Dryad
At 14th level, you count as both fey and your previous race type, and may use whichever is advantageous when targeted by a spell or other abilitiy. Additionally, you may cast Transport via Plants at will, without expending a spell slot or material components.
Rites of Flowers
At second level when you select this circle, you gain two rites, as listed below. Additionally, when you gain a level a druid level, you can choose one of the rites you know and replace it with another invocation that you could learn at that level. A level prerequisite in a rite efers to druid level, not character level. If any spells are gained through these rites, they count as druid spells and share the same spell DC and spell attack modifiers.
You choose two additional rites at 6th level, 10th level, and 14th level.
Rite of Aster
You may use this rite to cast Augury without expending a spell slot or material components. Once you invoke this rite, you cannot invoke it again until you complete a long rest.
Rite of Carnation
Any creature affected by a Cure Wound or Healing Word you cast with a spell slot regains an additional 2 + spell's level hit points.
Rite of Cherry Blossom
You gain proficiency in Medicine and Insight. If you already have proficiency in one of these skills, your proficiency modifier is doubled.
Rite of Clover
Whenever you make an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw, where you do not have disadvantage you may use this rite to roll with advantage. You can choose to use this rite after you roll the die, but before the outcome is determined. Once you use this rite, you cannot use it again until you complete a short rest.
Rite of Dahlia
You can cast Detect Magic at will, without expending a spell slot or material components.
Rite of Dandelion
While you are wearing no armor and not wielding a Shield, your AC equals 13 + your Wisdom modifier.
Rite of Forget-Me-Not
You always know which way is north, you always know the number of hours left before the next sunrise or sunset, and you can accurately recall anything you have seen or heard within the past month.
Rite of Foxglove
You may use this rite to cast Heroism without expending a spell slot or material components. Once you use this rite, you cannot invoke it again until you complete a short rest.
Rite of Geranium
Whenever you regain hit points, you treat any dice rolled to determine the hit points you regain as having rolled their maximum value.
Rite of Holly
You may cast Cure Wounds as a first level spell at will, without using a spell slot. When you cast Cure Wounds in this way, the target cannot heal above half of its total hit points.
Rite of Iris
You gain blindsight within 30 ft.
Rite of Lavender
You may use this rite to cast Dispel Magic without expending a spell slot or material components. Once you use this rite, you cannot use it again until you complete a short rest.
Rite of Lily
Moving through nonmagical difficult terrain costs you no extra movement. You can also pass through nonmagical plants without being slowed by them and without taking damage from them if they have thorns, spines, or a similar hazard.
Rite of Marigold
The first time you would drop to 0 hit points as a result of taking damage, you can use this rite as a reaction to instead drop to 1 hit point. Once you use this rite, you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest.
Rite of Morning Glory
You no longer need to sleep and can’t be forced to sleep by any means. To gain the benefits of a long rest, you can spend all 8 hours doing light activity, such as reading and keeping watch.
Rite of Orchid
You gain proficiency in Deception and Persuasion. If you already have proficiency in one of these skills, your proficiency modifier is doubled.
Rite of Poppy
You may cast Silent Image at will, without expending a spell slot or material components.
Rite of Rose
You may cast Charm Person at will, without expending a spell slot or material components. You must finish a long rest before you can use this rite on the same person again.
Rite of Sunflower
You may invoke this rite to cast Daylight without expending a spell slot or material components. Once you invoke this rite, you cannot invoke it again until you complete a long rest.
Rite of Thistle
You gain an extra amount of uses of your Razorpetal Storm class feature equal to your proficiency bonus.
Rite of Tulip
You may cast Animal Friendship at will, without expending a spell slot or material components. You must finish a long rest before you can use this rite on the same animal again.

As a heads up, you can't pick any rites or spells when leveling up or even creating characters. Would have loved to use this for my homebrew campaign, but it's broken. :/
Hmmm Spell Modifier is set for casting with Constitution.
The "Circle Spells" should be on the "Known Spells" list, but NOT on the "Prepared Spells" list, until I memorize it for the day.
The rites that are supposed to give you certain "spells at will" don't have the spells show up in your "Prepared Spells" list. Nor do the ones that give you "spells once / long rest".
Iris doesn't show "Blind Sight to 30 feet" in the "senses" box.
Cherry Blossom and Orchid don't automatically change the skill proficiencies.
Dandelion still sets AC = 10 + DEX
I could swear that some of these worked when I first discovered "Circle of Blossoms". This is one of the best Subclass ideas... and its unfinished. I'm sad...
Cal_Yzaguirre please complete this.
I really like this subclass, however there are no metionings of the level requierements for the rites in this document.
hey this still uses constitution for spellcasting can we get a change i really want to use this!
Morning Glory was just taken from a revised feature for Elves, it seems, much like how Forget-me-Not is just word for word one of the Feats.
The spell list is broken, it seems, and I guess you use CON not WIS for casting. If that's intentional, it should be noted somewhere on the page. But I think becasue it does say "invocations" at one point this was a mistake leftover from being copied from Warlock.
Otherwise I absolutely love this subclass. Mostly.
A few of these rites could do with aa tweak or two. It's not clear how long all the rites even last for once activated (some do say), and I think setting them at cetain levels (as in, making sure the Rite of Sunflowers isn't accessed at level 2...) is a way to allieviate some of the overpower this may have. I also heartily disagree with Rite of Forget-me-Nots being a free feat (although Luck exists and so do Halflings), and with Rite of Morning Glory being an unchanged Elf trait. I think giving the former advantage against Enchantment-based saving throws and immunity to Modify Memory might balance it out more and fit more with the name of the rite. I don't think this would be all that OP considering how situational most Enchantment-based spells are, but also for how situational they are, they're quite good. Consecutive uses of the Rite of Morning Glory could cause exhaustion.
Also just because the grammar of it bothers me, I'd either say "Rite of the Aster" or "Rite of Asters" for all of them. Either a singularising "the" or pluralising "s".
Otherwise, I think the only problem I have is the fact it cuts out in the T's of the alphabet. There's six whole letters that just got cut off at the end. I think three of them could have been used to hide that- Violet, Wisteria, and Zinnia, maybe. Violet you can use Invisibility once per long rest, Wisteria you can cast False Life once per long rest, and Zinnia you can cast Stoneskin once per long rest. Something like that.
The spells are broken, please fix.
I'd revise the Morning Glory rite(because of the goddamn Coffeelocks) but otherwise this is a pretty good subclass I would play :)
I absolutely love this subclass. My only real problem is that the spellcasting ability is constitution for some reason...
When you made the subclass you could've accidentally set the spell casting modifier to constitution instead of wisdom.
Hey! Did we ever get this figured out?
Weird!! Okay, I'm gonna tinker around with it. Thanks for letting me know!!! :)
I think you might need to fix this. For some reason, this subclass keeps wanting to use my character's Constitution modifier to determine their Spell Attack and Spell Save modifiers.
