Base Class: Sorcerer
There are many tales of legendary archmages throughout history: those who have challenged the mightiest foes, or even sought to achieve godhood themselves thanks to their raw power and immense talent. Many of their names have been lost to time, but you remember at least one…because that individual was you. Whether you were fortunate enough to be reborn with your memories intact, or you were blessed by a deity, or you simply cast a mighty spell to transfer your consciousness into the far future, you are now a modern prodigy with a seemingly boundless natural talent. You can shape spells in extraordinary ways thanks to your extra lifetime of experience. What you will do with that power is, of course, your own choice. Will you use it to bring a lost civilisation back from extinction? Or will you ensure a tragic or even apocalyptic history does not repeat itself?
Level 3: Reincarnate Spells
Reincarnate Spells: When you reach a Sorcerer level specified in the Reincarnate Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Sorcerer Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Detect Magic, Identify, Misty Step, Nystul's Magic Aura |
|
5 |
Counterspell, Dispel Magic |
| 7 | Dimension Door, Otiluke's Resilient Sphere |
| 9 | Legend Lore, Wall of Force |
Level 3: Metamaster
You learn an additional Metamagic option. You learn another additional option at levels 10 & 17.
Level 3: Erudite Knowledge
Your past life experience gives you an extraordinary depth of knowledge, from which you can recall many things that have been long forgotten.
You gain Proficiency and Expertise in two of the following skills: Arcana, History, Nature or Religion.
Level 6: Parallel Channelling
Your previous life has allowed you time to study the very sources of magic, allowing you to tap into additional power and stabilise it without any backlash.
Whenever you cast a spell that requires Concentration while your Innate Sorcery is active, you may choose to expend Sorcery Points equal to the level of the spell. If you do, that spell no longer requires Concentration, but its duration ends when your current use of Innate Sorcery ends, unless you choose to end it or it is dispelled beforehand. You may not use any Metamagic on that casting of the spell, and you may only use this ability once per activation of Innate Sorcery.
Level 14: Transcendent Echo
When you invoke your Innate Sorcery, you harness the magical prowess of your past self.
Whilst your Innate Sorcery is active, you gain the following additional benefits;
• When you cast a spell that deals damage, add 1 to each damage die roll of that spell.
• You have Advantage on saving throws against spells, and you have Resistance to the damage of spells.
Level 18: Ars Arcanum
You delve into the depths of your memory to recall spells that you mastered in your previous life. As a Magic Action, choose a spell from the Wizard spell list with a casting time of one Action. You may cast that spell immediately, using the appropriate level spell slot, and with the appropriate components. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for the spell, and it counts as a Sorcerer spell for you. You may use this ability a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses after you finish a Long Rest.
