Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Paladins who swear the Oath of the Spellblade blend martial prowess with arcane power, channeling divine magic through their weapons with precision. Masters of enchanted warfare, they strike with both righteous fury and arcane finesse.

Level 3: Level 3: Oath of Spellblade Spells

LEVEL 3: Spellblade

Over the course of 1 hour (which can be during a short rest), you bond with a non-attuned weapon. The bond fails if another paladin bonds with it or it is attuned to someone else. While bonded:

  • You can’t be disarmed unless Incapacitated.
  • You can summon the weapon to your hand (same plane) as a bonus action.
  • The weapon serves as a spellcasting focus.
  • If it is a one-handed weapon and your other hand is free:
    • You may use your Charisma modifier for attack and damage rolls.
    • You gain a +1 bonus to AC.

Level 3: Level 3: Empower

When you roll initiative, you can expend your Channel Divinity to enter a spell-infused state for 1 hour:

  • Your bonded weapon appears in your hand.
  • You may choose to deal Force damage with the weapon or your smite spells.
  • When you deal damage with a one-handed weapon or spell, add +3 Force damage.
  • You gain the effects of mage armor.
Channel Divinity - Empower

When you roll initiative, you can expend your Channel Divinity to enter a spell-infused state for 1 hour:

  • Your bonded weapon appears in your hand.
  • You may choose to deal Force damage with the weapon or your smite spells.
  • Once per turn, when you deal damage with a one-handed weapon or spell, add +3 Force damage.
  • You gain the effects of mage armor.

Level 7: LEVEL 7: Bladecaster

When you take the Attack action, you can replace one attack with the casting of a spell from your Oath of the Spellblade list at its base level.

Level 15: Level 15: Spell Weaver

After casting a spell, your next weapon attack before the end of your next turn has advantage. In addition, you emit a 15-foot aura of magical pressure until the start of your next turn. That area is considered difficult terrain for hostile creatures.

Level 20: LEVEL 20: Sword Mage of the Aeons

You can cast Mordenkainen’s Sword without concentration. The sword gains the Cleave weapon mastery, can move up to 60 feet per turn, and can be used with your Bladecaster feature. You regain this ability after a long rest. You can also restore your use of it by expending a level 5 spell slot (no action required).
