Base Class: Warlock
Bound not to a demon, fey, or eldritch horror, but to the lingering echoes of the departed, a Spiritualist Warlock walks the thin veil between the living and the dead. Whether sworn to an ancient ancestor, a forgotten deity, or the collective whispers of countless souls, your power is drawn from the unseen forces that linger beyond the grave. Ghostly apparitions answer your call, spectral energies weave through your magic, and the knowledge of the lost flows through your mind. You are both guide and harbinger, a vessel for the spirits that refuse to be forgotten.
Level 3: Ethereal Awareness
You can cast detect magic at will, without expending a spell slot or requiring components.
You also gain blindsight out to a range of 30 feet.
Level 3: Spiritualist Spells
The magic of your patron ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Warlock level specified in the Spiritualist Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Warlock Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Detect Evil and Good, Sanctuary, See Invisibility, Mirror Image |
| 5 | Spirit Guardians, Blink |
| 7 | Banishment, Phantasmal Killer |
| 9 | Commune, Wall of Force |
Level 6: Ghost Step
As a bonus action, you become incorporeal for 1 minute. While this effect is active:
- You have resistance to force damage.
- You can move through creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. If you end your turn inside an object, you take 1d10 force damage.
- When you move through a hostile creature, it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = your spell save DC) or be frightened until the end of its next turn. This effect bypasses immunity to the frightened condition. A creature that succeeds is immune for 24 hours.
- Opportunity attacks against you are made with disadvantage. If one hits, you take half damage from it.
You can use this feature once, regaining its use when you finish a short or long rest. Alternatively, you can expend a Pact Magic spell slot (no action required) to use it again.
Level 10: Spiritual Possession
As a bonus action, you can have a spirit possess you or a willing creature within 30 feet. The target gains temporary hit points equal to your warlock level + your Charisma modifier. While the target has these temporary hit points, they have advantage on ability checks using one ability score of your choice.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Level 14: Trancendent Step
While Ghost Step is active, you gain the following benefits:
- You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
- You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
- Hostile creatures within 10 feet of you have disadvantage on attack rolls against you.
