Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Paladins who swear the Oath of Fortunes are bound to the service of destiny - not to shape it, but to illuminate its path for others.

Blessed by deities of luck, fate, and foresight, these paladins use their divine gifts to deliver glimpses of what may come.

Their fortunes inspire hope, bolster the weary, and remind all that fate’s hand, though unseen, is ever present. Yet this blessing is never for themselves.

Oathbound to selflessness and honesty, these paladins act as conduits of good fortune while respecting fate’s immutable will.

Tenets of Fortune

Paladins who swear this oath adhere to the following tenets, reflecting their sacred bond to the forces of destiny and divine luck:

Selfless Insight. Your blessings are not meant for yourself. Your gifts exist to guide and uplift others.

Harbinger of Hope. Through words and fortunes, you offer light in darkness, instilling courage and optimism.

Immutable Fate. Destiny may be delayed, but never denied. You do not defy fate - you honour its course.

Level 3: Oath of Fortunes Spells

The magic of your oath ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Paladin level specified in the Oath of Fortunes Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Oath of Glory Spells
Paladin Level Spells
3 Guiding Bolt, Sanctuary
5 Enhance Ability, Augury
9 Haste, Clairvoyance
13 Death Ward, Divination
17 Legend Lore, Commune

Level 3: Fateweaver Smite

Immediately after you cast Divine Smite, you can expend one use of Channel Divinity and choose one creature within 30 feet of you. You influence their destiny, granting one of the following effects (your choice):

The creature gains a +1d4 bonus to each ability check it makes for 1 minute.

The creature suffers a -1d4 penalty to each ability check it makes for 1 minute.

A creature can only be affected by this feature once at a time. The effect ends after it is used or when the duration expires.

Level 3: Twist of Fate

As a reaction when a creature other than yourself within 30 feet fails an ability check or saving throw, you can use your Channel Divinity to alter their fortune. The roll is instead treated as a success.

Level 7: Aura of Precognition

Starting at 7th level, your awareness of fate's flow grants you and your allies uncanny readiness. While you are conscious, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you gain a bonus to initiative rolls equal to their proficiency bonus.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Level 15: Sudden Premonition

You turn a sudden premonition into a good omen. When another creature you can see within 30 feet of you is hit by an attack roll, you can take a Reaction to grant a bonus to the target’s AC against that attack, potentially causing it to miss. The bonus equals your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1). If the attack misses, the target can make one attack with a weapon against the attacker as part of this Reaction if the attacker is within their weapon’s range.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a [rules]Long Rest[/rules-].

Level 20: Living Prophet

As a Bonus Action, you open your mind's eye and become one with the strands of destiny for 1 minute. During this time:

You can reroll one failed attack roll on each of your turns.

Creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls against friendly creatures within 10ft.

When a friendly creature fails a saving throw, you can use your reaction to succeed instead.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a 5th‑level spell slot to use it again.

Activate Living Prophet

While empowered with visions of futures not yet come to pass, you gain the following benefits:

Second Chances. You can reroll one failed attack roll on each of your turns.

Good Omens. Creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls against friendly creatures within 10ft.

Saving Throw Success. When a friendly creature fails a saving throw, you can use your reaction to succeed instead.
