Posted Jul 24, 2024You've got a cool idea going here but it just isn't quite there yet, let's help ya out a bit
Initial Slaughter:
When you reach 3rd level, you can use your Cunning Action to make an attack as a bonus action.
Dexterous Attack:
Starting at 3rd level, when you land an attack with a finesse weapon you deal an additional amount of damage equal to your proficiency bonus.
Supreme Slaughter:
At 9th level, when you miss an attack roll you gain advantage on your next attack roll. If you roll a 20 on an attack roll that had advantage, you deal an additional amount of damage equal to your level.
Crushing Power:
By 13th level, when you are hit by a ranged weapon or melee attack roll you can use your reaction in order to make a dexterity check with your proficiency bonus. If you roll equal to or higher than the attack roll made against you you can parry/deflect the attack taking 0 damage.
Death Persistence:
When you reach 17th level, when you're knocked down to 0 hit points instead of falling unconscious and rolling death saves you can roll a constitution save DC of 10. If you succeed you remain conscious and are able to continue taking actions while at 0 hit points. While at 0 hit points, at the end of each of your turns you have to repeat this saving throw and each time you succeed the DC is increased by 5. At any point if you fail the saving throw you instantly die. The DC resets at the end of a long rest.

Posted Sep 29, 2023Initial Saughter: Other than the misspelling, not actually that bad. You can only use can only sneak attack once per turn, so it just gives you an extra chance if you missed with your action or decided to do something else with your action, and you can do the first case normally by duel-wielding.
Dexterous Attack: Since rogues almost always attack with dexterity anyways, this is basically just 20 extra damage per turn. This would have to be toned down a lot to be balanced.
Supreme Slaughter: Giving constant advantage on attacks would be op for any class, but even more so for rogues, since it makes it so no effort or strategy is required to sneak attack.
Crushing Power: This is definitely not as overpowered as the previous two abilities, but still powerful. The extra AC and dexterity would both be very useful. The dexterity maximum increase is interesting in that it is somehow both overpowered and underpowered. Normally, increasing ability score maximum's is limited to high-level magic items, so I would consider a 13th level subclass ability doing it overpowered. However, due to modifiers only incrementing every two ability score levels, it ends up being basically useless.
Death Persistence: Despite its powerful-sounding name, this is the weakest ability here. 15 extra hit points is not a huge amount at 17th level, the constitution boost has 50/50 chance of being about the same as the other part or doing nothing. Un
