Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

The Grim Hunters. Hunters of monsters, however unlike the blood hunters, they don't use magic, they use skill, technique, and finesse. Grim Hunters aren't strong in number, but they are strong in their Determination and power.

Hunters Focus

Your training with becoming a hunter of monsters, you learned the best way to take them down. At 3rd level, You can use a bonus action to start the Hunters Focus, which lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are incapacitated, or if you are knocked unconscious. You can also dismiss the Focus at any time (no action required).

When you activate the Focus. You gain the following.

  • You may add your wisdom modifier to your attack and damage rolls (minimum of +1).
  • You gain a +1 bonus to your AC for the duration.
  • You have advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

Harsh Conditions

Your used to being beaten to a pulp when fighting monsters, and you start learning from the fails in fights. At 7th level, you gain resistance to all non magical Bludgeoning, slashing and piercing damage when in the Hunters Focus. In addition, standing up from prone costs you no movement.

Predictive Reflex

You’ve seen enough fights to know what comes next. At 10th level, when you miss on a creature within 5 feet of you that you have hit before within the last 2 days, you can use reaction to make 1 melee attack against that creature.

Enhanced Focus

At 15th level, your resolve is absolute. At 15th level, while in Hunter’s Focus:

  • You Become Immune to fear.
  • You have blindsight within 10 feet of you.
  • Your attacks ignore resistance, but not immunities.

Additionally, you no longer age, you can still die, but you stay at the age you are until you die.

Adamantine Determination

Your Determination withholds you from being a normal hunter. When you are reduced to 0 hit points and would die outright, you can instead choose to will yourself back to life through sheer force of determination. You immediately return to life with hit points equal to your proficiency bonus × your Constitution modifier (minimum 1 HP).

While revived in this way, you gain the following benefits for 1 minute:

  • Resistance to all damage except force damage.
  • Advantage on all, saving throws, and ability checks.
  • You cannot be charmed, frightened, or paralyzed for the duration.

After this effect ends, you gain one level of exhaustion, and you cannot use this feature again until you finish a long rest. You can only use this feature once per long rest.

If your body was destroyed or disintegrated, this feature fails to activate. As your soul is forced to move on.
