Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

While other barbarians fuel their fury with rage, you draw strength from joy, hope, and the simple belief that things can get better. The Path of the Optimist embraces the idea that resolve doesn't need to be violent—sometimes, it’s a smile in the face of darkness, a helping hand in a moment of pain, or the calm that quiets a battlefield.

You are the eye of the storm: calm, sturdy, and unyielding. Your joy is a choice, and that choice makes you and those around you nigh untouchable.

Unbothered

While raging, you gain a damage threshold equal to your Charisma modifier * your rage damage bonus. When you take damage equal to or below this threshold, you take no damage instead.

Shake it Off

When you take damage from a source and reduce it due to resistance, you reduce the resulting damage by an additional amount equal to your Charisma modifier.

I've Got You

When a creature you can see within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to take that damage instead as if you were the original target.

As part of this reaction, you may choose to activate your rage if it is not already active.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. A creature can only benefit from being the target of this feature once per long rest.

Moment of Peace

Once per long rest you can forcefully put an end to a conflict. As an action, you can end your rage. For the next minute, all creatures within 500 feet, including yourself, become incapacitated, and initiative ends if one was active.
