Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Battlefield is often a chaotic confusion. With a Fighter of the Centurion Archetype, there is often an ordered cohesion amidst the madness. Drilled into their men, the Centurion can command strict cohesion. Be it a low-born soldier having risen through ranks, or a Prince with a royal guard, they command with a force that has been entrusted by those beneath them. In times of Crisis, A centurion finds themselves alone a challenging foe, protecting those around them. Phalanax shield walls, Intricate signals, and the simple command of charge is all within the practices of this fighter.

Auxiliary Reports

You are trained in a system of brief hand signals, sharp whistles, and subtle calls—an encoded language of command.
You can teach this system to any creature that understands a language and shares a language with you. Teaching it takes 10 minutes and can be done outside of combat.

Once taught, that creature can receive non-verbal and non-visual commands from you in combat. Only you and creatures trained in this system can understand or benefit from these signals.

Deaconus Command

3rd-level Centurion feature

When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can forgo one of your attacks to command an ally who can see or hear you. That ally may use their reaction to make one weapon attack. If that attack hits, you may immediately return their reaction to them. You can return the reaction a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), regaining all expended uses when you finish a short rest.

Phalanx

7th-level Centurion feature

Your presence reinforces nearby allies, forming an unbreakable wall. When you are within 5 feet of an ally, you and that ally share any bonus to Armor Class granted by equipment (such as shields or enchanted items), spells (such as shield or shield of faith), or reactions (such as Parry), these bonuses cannot stack if already using similar spells or equipment, using the higher AC bonus when in conflict.

This does not apply to base Armor Class (such as chain mail, plate, or natural armor), and it cannot chain through allies —only your direct proximity allows this benefit to be shared.

Signum Advance

10th-level Centurion feature

When you take the Dash, Disengage, or Help action on your turn, choose a number of allies equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1) who can see or hear you.
Each chosen ally may use their reaction to move up to half their speed. (this movement does provoke opportunity attacks if you used Disengage.)

Additionally, when you roll initiative, you may immediately issue a command with Auxiliary Reports (no action required) to any ally who can see or hear you, removing the surprise condition.

Praetorian

15th-level Centurion feature

While you are, not within 10 feet of any non-incapacitated Ally you gain a bonus to your Armor Class, attack rolls, and saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum +1). Additionally, a number of Incapacitated allies equal to your proficiency bonus within 10 feet of you also gain the armor class bonus.

Legatus Legionis

18th-level Centurion feature

When you use your Action surge, each ally within 30 feet of you who can see or hear you may immediately use their reaction to take an additional Spell or Weapon attack action, this can include any Extra Attack features they possess.
