Base Class: Monk
In their isolated monasteries, some monks come across lost tomes or spiritual revelations which unlock unfathomable secrets of the universe. This forbidden knowledge alters the psyche of any mortal who even begins to contemplate it. Evil monks that discover forbidden knowledge often leave their monastery to seek out further eldritch wisdom to increase their own power. Good monks that discover forbidden knowledge often leave their monastery to find and safeguard or destroy sources of this knowledge that mortals should not possess. Neutral monks that discover forbidden knowledge often leave their monastery to discover lost secrets of the universe and transcend their consciousness beyond mortality.
