Base Class: Sorcerer
Fire Weavers are a captivating figure among their tribes, distinguished by their innate ability to manipulate and weave flames into both art and magic. Adorned in vibrant, flame-inspired attire that shimmers with oranges, reds, and yellows, they embody the ferocity and beauty of fire itself. Their skin may carry intricate patterns resembling flickering flames, often enhanced with ash-like markings that tell the tales of ancestors who mastered fire before them.
With a fierce and focused demeanour, the Fire Weaver channels their powers through elaborate rituals, combining intricate hand movements and incantations that evoke the elemental essence of fire. This connection allows them to bend flames to their will, creating dazzling displays of fire that can dazzle allies and terrify foes alike.
Beyond mere destruction, they view fire as a force of transformation and renewal, often utilising it to celebrate life during tribal festivals or as a medium for storytelling. Drawing on the wisdom of their tribe, Fire Weavers are seen as both warriors and artists, merging their combat prowess with the enchanting allure of fire, serving as protectors of their people while keeping the rich traditions of their culture alive in every flicker and flare. Whether in battle or during a ceremonial dance, the Fire Weaver is a mesmerising testament to the fierce spirit of their tribe and the untamed beauty of flame.
Flame Manipulation
You acquire the skill to manipulate and refine fire with accuracy. This grants you the ability to cast the Control Flames cantrip. When you invoke a fire spell, you have the option to produce harmless effects. These effects can manifest as intricate fiery shapes or vibrant colours, enhancing the aesthetic of your spells.
Flames of the Ancestors
You acquire proficiency in the Ignan Language, a tongue rich with the nuances of elemental fire and its manifestations. As part of your studies, you also learn the Find Familiar Spell, which you cast as a ritual. This particular spell allows you to summon a small elemental flame, a creature that embodies the essence of fire itself.
Damage Immunities: Fire, Poison
Languages: Understands Ignan but cannot speak
Challenge Rating: 0 (10 XP)
Illumination: The flame sheds bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet.
Water Susceptibility: For every 5 feet the flame moves in water, or for every gallon of water splashed on it, it takes 1 cold damage.
Flame Touch: Melee Spell Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (d6) fire damage.
Cinder: Ranged Spell Attack: +4 to hit, range 40 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (1d6) fire damage.
Embers of Creation
You acquire a resistance to fire damage, allowing you to withstand the searing effects of flames more effectively. In the event that you suffer damage from a fire-related source, you can use a reaction to absorb a portion of the flames. This gives you temporary hit points, equaling half of the damage you incurred (rounded down). This mechanism not only enhances your survivability in fiery encounters but also provides a strategic advantage, as you can convert the pain of fire into a buffer against future harm, thereby reinforcing your resilience in the face of such elemental threats.
Inferno Dance
As an action you perform a captivating dance that channels the essence of fire, igniting the spirits of your allies. Select up to three teammates within a 30-foot radius, you can grant them advantage on their next attack roll or saving throw, enhancing their chances of success before their subsequent turn concludes.
This powerful action not only showcases your connection to the elemental forces of fire but also strengthens your team's effectiveness in battle. However, you can only preform this dance once per short rest.
Scion of the Inferno
You gain access to the following features:
Eruption of Flames. You have learned to call down a devastating burst of flame, turning the battlefield into a blazing inferno. As an action, you can unleash a cataclysmic eruption at a point you can see within 60 feet. Each creature in a 20-foot-radius sphere centred on that point must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your spellcasting ability modifier). On a failed save, a creature takes 6d6 fire damage and is knocked prone until the start of your next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and suffers no other effects.
Renewal of Flames. When you drop to 0 hit points, you may use your reaction to expend 5 sorcery points before falling unconscious. If you do, you erupt in flames and recover hit points equal to your character level.
Flame Mastery. When you cast a fire spell, you can expend 1 sorcery point to ignore resistance to fire damage for all fire spells you cast until the end of your turn.
You can use Eruption of Flames and Renewal of Flames once per long rest.
Ember’s Embrace
You have become a living conduit of elemental fire, wreathed in flame and fueled by arcane might. As a bonus action, you can spend 5 sorcery points to activate Ember’s Embrace, enveloping yourself in a shimmering aura of heat and flame for up to 1 minute (concentration not required). While Ember’s Embrace is active, you gain the following benefits:
Flameform. You are immune to fire damage.
Reactive Flare. When a creature hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction and spend 1 sorcery point to retaliate with a burst of flame. The attacker must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier). On a failed save, the creature takes 2d6 fire damage and is pushed 10 feet away from you. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and is not pushed.
Piercing Heat. Your fire spells ignore resistance to fire damage.
Burning Power. When you cast a spell that deals fire damage, you may add your Charisma modifier to one damage roll of that spell.
Once you use Ember’s Embrace, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
