Base Class: Sorcerer
Star, planets, and other astral bodies are sometimes more than they seem. They sometimes contain vast amounts of untapped magic, radiating out of them, but we only feel a whisper of their alien power. However, this whisper of power is great enough for certain attuned individuals, with enough experience, to fling fireballs or fly. Cosmic sorcerers are blessed with the ability to pull in the hidden magic of the cosmos, and use its fiery and blinding power to fuel spells.
Astral Lash
As an instinctual defense, you can unleash a blinding burst of astral magic at a target. When a creature comes within 5 feet of you, you may use your reaction to deal your Char. mod. (min. 1) of fire or radiant damage to the target. The target must also make a Constitution saving throw against your sorcerer spell save DC. On a failed save, the attacker is blinded for 1d4 rounds. This effect does not stack with other blindness effects or itself.
While you are in direct sunlight, should the target fail the Constitution save, they are blinded twice as long.
At level 10, increase the range to 10 ft.
The number of times you may use this feature is equal to your Charisma modifier (min. 1). This feature recharges upon a long rest or by spending 3 sorcery points
Solar Prominence
You have become accustomed to the strain of using astral energies, making your spells stronger while become more resilient to them. As such, you gain resistance to fire and radiant damage.
Spells you cast may ignore resistance to fire and radiant damage. This feature can be used your Charisma modifier (min. 1) number of times per long rest.
Additionally, while in direct sunlight, your damaging spells deal your Charisma modifier (min. 1) extra fire or radiant damage. You may only use this feature once a round.
Lunar Reflection
Like the moon, you can take an incoming spell and reflecting it. Once per long rest, if another creature casts a spell that you can see, and you are the only target affected, you may use your reaction to roll a D20+ your Charisma modifier to reflect the spell to another creature or location of your choice. However, it may not directly affect yourself or the original caster. The DC is 12+ the reflected spell’s spell level.
For flavor : The current phase of the moon when this ability is cast dictates the DC: a new moon has a DC of 20, a crescent moon has a DC of 16, a half moon has a DC of 12, a gibbous (3/4) moon has a DC of 8, and a full moon has a DC of 4. Solar eclipse is an automatic fail, whereas a lunar eclipse is an automatic success.
Stellar Guard
You have become like the stars you draw from. You gain immunity to radiant and fire damage.
You may also use Astral Lash an infinite number of times.
At night, you may use Astral Lash an additional time per round without spending your reaction, but you may not use it on the same creature in the same round.
