Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of Steel are known for being equally the immovable object as well as the unstoppable force. Their will is as formidable to their enemies as it is comforting to their allies.

Level 3: Bonds of Steel

Whenever you hit a creature with an attack, you may spend 1 Focus Point to impose one of the following effects on that target.

Bind. The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be psychically bound to you. Neither you or the target can move more than 30 ft. away from each other in any direction for the duration of the effect. The effect ends when you dismiss it (no action required), after 1 minute, or if the target spends an Action to break the bind and succeeds on a subsequent Strength saving throw.

Ground. The target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or fall under the Earthbind spell.

Calm. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or fall under the Calm Emotions. Alternatively, you may choose to use the successful strike on your enemy to induce the spells effects on an ally you can see within 60 feet.

Only one of these effects may be in effect at any given time, and all fall under rules of Concentration as if having cast a spell.

Level 6: Immovable Object

You have utter mastery of your own body. Foes or forces who try to move you will find the task all but impossible. As a Reaction, when an effect would move you 5 feet or more or knock you prone, you can choose to ignore the effect. You still take any damage incurred from the effect if any.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Level 11: Unstoppable Force

The cost of attempted control over a Warrior of Steel is swift retribution.

When using a reaction to resist control effects with Immovable Object, you may spend 2 Focus Points to immediately move up to your Movement Speed without triggering Opportunity Attacks and make one Monk Weapon attack.

Level 17: Wall of Steel

You have become the ultimate defense on the battlefield. Nothing gets by you unless you say so.

You can spend 4 Focus Points to cast Wall of Force without spell components. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for this feature.

While the spell is active on subsequent turns, you may use a Bonus Action and additional Focus Point to reposition or reshape the wall in accordance with the spell's limitations.

Additionally, while using this ability, you may still choose to use one of the effects of your Bonds of Steel ability, though both abilities still fall under the Concentration rules. If both effects are active and you are hit, only roll one Constitution Saving Throw, ending the effects of one or the other. You choose.
