Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who walk the Path of the Vanguard train tirelessly to harness the wild energies of the world to draw on the toughest materials there are. By connecting with the natural world to such an extent, they give themselves the ability to wear the planet's most stout defenses on their own flesh.
Level 3: Stout Resilience
When you activate your rage, your skin takes on the appearance of a durable natural material, like hardwood, stone, or metal, increasing the durability and weight of your body drastically.
While raging, you gain a +2 bonus to your Armor Class, provided you are not wearing any armor or wielding a shield, and your weight is doubled, giving disadvantage to any creature attempting to grapple you. You also gain an additional resistance to one damage type of your choice besides Psychic or Force damage until your rage ends.
Reinforced Corpus. As a bonus action, you may choose to activate your rage again while raging to gain resistance to another damage type.
Level 3: Reinforced Haymaker
As a Bonus Action while raging, you can make an unarmed strike against a creature within range. On a hit, the creature must make a Constitution saving throw or be unable to take reactions until the end of it's next turn.
Level 6: Instinctive Protector
As a reaction when a creature you can see attacks an ally, you may move up to half of your movement speed in order to intercept the attack. The attack must use the same attack and damage rolls that would have been used against its initial target. When you use Instinctive Protector, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Barbarian level before you take the damage from the attack.
Level 10: Insurmountable
The durability of your skin is even further enhanced while you are raging, causing your skin to appear as an even more durable material than before such as steel or Mythril.
While you are raging, you gain a damage threshold equal to 1/2 of your Barbarian level (minimum of 1), any damage which is equal to or less than 1/2 of your barbarian level is treated as 0 damage.
Level 14: Unbreakable
You gain the ability to raise your durability to its absolute zenith, enhancing all of your previous abilities. When you activate your rage, or as a bonus action during your rage, you can overclock your durability, reducing your walking speed by 10 feet but giving you the following effects:
Unbreakable Resilience. The bonus to your armor class while raging increases from +2 to +4. Additionally, you can select 2 damage types to gain resistance to instead of one until your rage ends when using Reinforced Corpus.
Unbreakable Haymaker. Your Strength modifier is added twice to the damage of your Reinforced Haymaker attacks.
Unbreakable and Insurmountable. Your damage threshold increases to be equal to your Barbarian level.
