Base Class: Monk
Masters of motion and discipline, Warriors of the Stilled Storm fight with the grace of falling rain and the precision of a single drop. They move fluidly through the battlefield, striking and parrying as the rainfall waxes and wanes.
These monks follow a path of clarity through chaos. Where others see a storm as a force of destruction, they see rhythm—an ever-changing pattern of pressure and flow. With every footstep, they find openings. With every breath, they anticipate. Their training teaches them not to resist the storm, but to move with it—step by step, motion by motion, until they become one with it.
Those who master this tradition do not fight to dominate. They fight to harmonize—every strike a ripple, every dodge a prediction. At the height of their mastery, a Warrior of the Stilled Storm can still the rain entirely, moving through a moment untouched by time to end the battle before the next drop falls.
Level 3: Springtime Advent
Whenever it is raining you can take one of the following bonus actions each turn.
Raindrop Step. You teleport up to 30 feet to a space you can see within range, swapping places with a raindrop.
Healing Mists. You regain hit points equal to a roll of your martial arts die, the rainfall washing away your wounds.
Silvered Stream. You cause a monk weapon that deals slashing or piercing damage to deal an additional martial arts die on its next attack, the rain sharpening your blade.
Additionally, as an action on your turn you can spend 3 focus points to cause the area within 1 mile to begin raining for the next 10 minutes if it was not already. This rain is steady and windless.
Level 3: Rain Dance
Whenever you make an attack, if you are at least 10 feet away from any space where you previously made an attack this turn, the attack deals an additional Martial Arts die of damage.
Level 6: Slipstream Step
You move with the grace of falling rain. Whenever a creature misses you with an attack, you can use your reaction and spend 1 focus point to move up to half your speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Level 11: Clarity in Motion
Whenever you hit with an attack on your turn, you can take one additional reaction before the start of your next turn. You can use only one reaction per triggering effect.
Level 17: Stillness of the Storm
Once per long rest while it is raining, you can use an action to expend 10 focus points, activating Stillness of the Storm. When you do so you briefly stop the flow of time for everyone but yourself. No time passes for other creatures, while you take up to 1d4 + 1 turns in a row, during which you can use actions and move as normal. When stillness of the storm ends you gain a number of levels of exhaustion equal to the number of turns taken using stillness of the storm and it stops raining.
