Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Gray Side of the Force is for balance seekers, for those who acknowledge that the Weave itself is beyond morality. It is the path of those who refuse absolutes, who channel both light and dark into something new. The renegades teach that power is not inherently good or evil, but lies in how one chooses to wield it. To walk this path is to accept freedom, and often the burden that comes with it.

Level 3: Gray Side Weave Arts

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use your Focus Points to cast two of three spells, your choice when choosing this subclass, listed below as a magic action. These spells use your Wisdom modifier for spellcasting and require no material components to cast. Additionally, choose one type of melee weapon to be your weave weapon. These weapons can be any simple or martial weapon that lacks the heavy and special properties. You gain proficiency with this weapons if you don't already have it. Weapons of the chosen types are monk weapons for you. You can only use this subclass' abilities if you are Neutral aligned.

Rebel Weave Push
As a magic action you can spend 1 Focus Point to cast Thunderwave.

Rebel Weave Disappearance
As a magic action you can spend 2 Focus Point to cast Invisibility.

Weave Mind Reading
As a magic action you can spend 2 Focus Point to cast Detect Thoughts.

Additionally, you gain the Mage Hand cantrip if you do not already know it. You can cast it without verbal components and you can make the spectral hand invisible.

Level 6: Gray Side Weave Technique

At 6th Level, your connection to the Gray Side of the Weave has strengthened with the Weave flowing through you. Some of your Base Monk Abilities have been altered due to this connection.

Your Flurry of Blows ability changes and can now be done with a held longsword or lightsaber-like weapon (Moon-Touched Sword, Sunblade, Lightsaber, etc.).

Your Deflect Attacks ability now allows you take no damage from magic missile or eldritch blast and automatically reflects all darts back to the caster.

Additionally, you can choose one of two new spells to learn when reaching this level to better tread the line in the weave, peering into both sides of it.

Weave Silencing
As a magic action you can spend 3 Focus Points to cast Dispel Magic.

Weave Hypnosis
As a magic action you can spend 3 Focus Points to cast Hypnotic Pattern.

Level 11: Gray Side Weave Connection

By 11th level, you have learned to call upon the Gray Side of the Weave to aid you as you meditate. As a magic action, you can cast Detect Magic at will. Additionally, your Weave Disappearance and Weave Push can be more effective if you expend further Focus Points on either ability. You can upcast these spells with the spell slot equivalent to the amount of Focus Points you expend, up to 5.

Rebel Hero Weave Disappearance
As a magic action you can spend 5 Focus Points to cast Greater Invisibility.

Rebel Hero Weave Push
As a magic action you can spend 5 Focus Points to cast Destructive Wave.

Level 17: Gray Side Weave Master

At 17th Level, your connection to the Gray Side of the Weave is complete, allowing you to unleash your full potential. Your monk abilities are further augmented and some even altered.

When you take the Dodge Action, you can activate your Deflect Attack ability as many times as half your Wisdom modifier until the start of your next turn if you are equipped with a longsword or lightsaber you are proficient with. Your Deflect Attack/Deflect Energy ability now allows you to deflect and reflect back magic spell attacks. The reflected damage type being that appropriate to the spell (Guiding Bolt would deal radiant damage upon being reflected).

One With The Weave
As a magic action you can spend 5 Focus Points to cast the spell Telekinesis.

Weave Portal
Your most powerful technique though is the ultimate representation of your balanced nature. As a magic action you can spend 9 Focus Points to cast the spell Gate.

Finally, once per round, you restore Focus Points Equal to your Proficiency Bonus if you roll a 20 on an Attack Roll against a hostile creature, or successfully dodged an attack from a hostile creature. You can do this as many times as your Proficiency Modifier per long rest.
