Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Psalms are not revered throughout the nations not for their knowledge of many things, but rather their devotion to the telling of story.

Many bards may not choose to associate with the pantheon of gods and goddesses as a source of their power, but College of Psalms bards choose to live by the codes, morals, and ethics of a higher power. Going along the countryside, you may see them travelling alongside a missionary to regale them with music of their god. Not a devoted priest or warrior-champion of a god or goddess, bards of this college focus on the inspiration of the common folk as they had been inspired themselves.

Bonus Proficiencies

At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Religion and Performance skill, you are not already proficient.

Divinely Inspired

Also at 3rd level, you learn that your words have more meaning when they come from the heart and your words are being divinely inspired. When an ally that can hear you within 60 feet of you needs to make a saving throw, you can use your reaction to expend one of your uses of Bardic Inspiration, rolling a Bardic Inspiration die and add the number rolled to the creature’s roll. You can choose to use this feature after the creature makes its roll, but before the DM determines whether the creature succeeds or fails its save. A creature is immune to this if it can’t hear you.

Words of Kindness

At 6th level, you gain the ability to infuse yourself and your words in a divine magic that makes others want to listen you. As a bonus action, you cast Calm Emotions, without expending a spell slot, and you take on an appearance of unearthly glory for 1 minute or until your concentration ends (as if you were concentrating on a spell). During this time, you can cast Calm Emotions, as a bonus action on each of your turns, without expending a spell slot.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Choir of the Pantheon

At 14th level, your voice echoes in the hearts and minds of your allies through years of venerated devotion. As a bonus action, your voice and instrument begin to ring out in multitudes for 1 minute or until you are incapacitated. For the duration, your Divinely Inspired has a new ability. For the duration, you may expend 2 Bardic Inspiration dice to maximize the dice roll.

Once you use this ability, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
