Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who follow the Path of the World Serpent draw their primal fury from ancient, serpentine forces tied to cosmic cycles, poison, and strength. These warriors embody the endless dance of destruction and renewal, channeling the might of world-devouring serpents and guardian wyrms alike. As they rage, their strikes can deliver venomous power, their bodies become harder to break, and they eventually gain the ability to shed their skin to evade death itself. Their rage is not just fury — it's a manifestation of the primal serpent coiled beneath all things.
Venomous Ferocity
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you have fangs that you can use to make unarmed strikes, these fangs deal 1d8 + your strength modifier piercing damage. You channel a deadly venom into your fangs whenever you enter your rage. This venom lasts for the duration of your rage. When you make an unarmed strike with your fangs while raging, you can force the target to make a constitution saving throw (the DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier), on a failure the target takes an additional 2d4 poison damage
If you have a target grappled, you can use a bonus action to make an unarmed strike with the fangs against the grappled target.
Additionally you gain resistance to poison damage while raging.
Strength of the Anaconda
Additionally at 3rd level, you gain a serpentine tail, which can either be a prehensile extension of your spine or replace your lower half entirely with a powerful, snake-like body. You gain access to a special unarmed strike that deals 1d6 + strength modifier bludgeoning damage on a hit.
When you hit a creature with your tail, you can make a grapple check against the target as part of the Attack action. Until the grapple ends, the target is “constricted” and has disadvantage on any attack roll against a creature other than you, and you can’t constrict another target.
Shed Skin
At 6th level, you can shed your skin to escape danger. As a reaction you take when you fail a saving throw against a spell or harmful effect, you may shed your skin and cause the failed save to become a successful save, additionally removing any negative effects or conditions affecting you.
When you finish a Short Rest, you can regain an expended use of this feature. Once you regain a use of this feature in this way, you can't use this feature or regain a use of this feature again until you finish a Long Rest.
Additionally, your attacks gained from Venomous Ferocity and Strength of the Anaconda count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Improved Venom
At 10th level, your venom becomes more potent, your bite does an additional 2d4 poison damage and ignores resistance to poison damage. Immunity instead becomes resistance.
The World Serpent
Beginning at 14th level, while raging, your size becomes large and when you make an unarmed strike with your tail on your turn, your reach for it is 5 feet greater than normal and you can target up to three medium creatures, dealing 1d12 + your strength modifier bludgeoning damage instead of its usual damage.
